In addition, Toyoda said the company is making changes so brake pedals can override a sudden acceleration and bring a runaway vehicle to a safe stop.

They're fixing the brake pedal, and leaving the gas pedal as is. Now people will have 2 faulty pedals...

Toyota refuses to call this a recall. Whatever, they can call it anything they want, it's still a recall.

I't probably being held like GM does a TSB, they tell the dealers to check them when the customer brings the car in for other service.
Unless they actually send a letter to each customer telling them to bring the car in it is technically not a recall....

But it is still not good news for them because saying it the way they did still makes them look like they are trying to hide something...
