I just moved from hawaii about a year ago, so I'm still trying to figure Ohio out.
Why the hell would you do that? None of my business, but I can only think of a couple good reasons to move to Ohio from Hawaii. The only one I will mention here is $......lots of it at that.

Too true.

I would suggest the polaris area , maybe quaker steak and lube, that is a common meeting point.

WELLLLLL.......I graduated high school out there and needed to pick a college and Ohio State has the best veterinarian school in the country right now....so I'm stuck in this forsaken state for 8 years until I graduate. Don't get me wrong, I miss Hawai'i horribly, but it's too expensive to live out there ($9 for a pack of cigarettes, $7 for a gallon of milk or carton of eggs) and it was nice to see other things than just the island. You tend to get the island fever after the first year.

Sounds like New York City, everything cost about 3 times what it should. I worked in Columbus for a while and it seems to me that it snowed just about every day in December.

We'll I guess neither of you have lived in Texas, specifically D/FW. Because if you did, you would realize how wonderful Ohio truly is. It does have all four seasons. The falls here are beautiful and just this past spring, we got record setting rain with temps barely reaching 80 degrees. D/FW has only summer with brutal temps of over 100 and winter, which lasts only 2 months and you are lucky if it got down to 30 degrees. No spring or fall. I hated living there.

I love the 4 season thing till about January then I am over the cold. On a side note I have only been to Beavercreek once in my life and I decided that if I were to move anywhere else in Ohio it would be either Milford or Beevercreek. Seems like there are a lot of nice places to live and shop in your area.

I am from Midstate NY... Trust me, the winter here is weak! The only bad part about the winter here is that the DOT sucks really bad so the roads are not very well taken care of.

We love Beavercreek! Very low crime rate. The school system has been rated "Excellent" the past 9 years and the shopping/eating is awesome! We live off of North Fairfield and are 5 mins from the Mall, movie theatre and any restaurant our stomach desires. Target is less than one minute from our house. The Greene is only 15 mins away. I highly recommend living here. They are building a hospital behind the Mall that will open in 2012. No more having to pick between Xenia or Dayton when in need of medical services. And a new Market Place Krogers is being built right next to the old one on Dayton-Xenia Road. I am most exited about this These are the main reason why we chose to live in Beavercreek and not New Carlisle where Darin works. He drives 35 miles round trip a day but it's worth it due to all the amenities we have near us.
