Yep and make sure your rear camber is at the lowest possible range to square up the tires to the track. What air pressure are you running?

I tried it at 30 first and was like driving on ice. Then 20 and it was a little better. Finally I think we went to 16 and was able to get minimal spinnage.

UPDATE

Well they picked up my Camaro this week from Southern Illinois headed to Indiana for the LPE treatment......... the waiting begin's!

I can tell already that i should have gone with the 427 package, but it gives me something to look forward to in the future. For now the 650 with some extra goodies will work just fine.

Paul,
The 60' of 1.544 is a pretty nice time.. was that on 20" tires?

Thanks. I am ready to see how yours turns out! Are you going to the LSX Shootout?

Here is a video of my run. When I figure out the timing of the lights I think it will be better. I also need to stop the tires from breaking loose at the line.

Probably going to LSX shootout...My family likes gambling at the Lumiere on the Mississippi anyways...so, it would be a big family affair....Hoping dyno is not only started, but finished on Monday.

Thanks

Damn, I guess I will have to buy the NT05RS's now.
I have not had much luck at all on the 555's
What gears are you running Paul?
I watched you vid. man that thing launches! You and LPE have built an awsome Camaro!!
I roll off the the line and still break loose as soon as it hits boost. Of course the track here is brushed concrete and slick as ice. The best time I saw last Sunday was a 12.9 on full bias slicks. The best I could manage was a 14 flat trapping 114 mph. My best time here is a 13.2 when the track was prepped and had VHT down.
I need to hit a good track, maybe this next month when the air gets a little better I will head out to Dallas or Houston.

Do you run about 16 to 18 lbs of air when drag racing? When I didn't let the air out it was like driving on ice.

I have the 3.70 gears which really made a huge diffference in the way it responds. It was almost like night and day. Even on the highway right now with the 427 I am getting between 21 and 23 mpg so the gears didn't cause a noticible decrease in milage.

I should be posting up some better times after this next weekend. There is a 100lb speaker box and amp in my trunk and some other thing that I am going to do to try and break into the 9s.

I bet if you go to a sticky track and get some traction you will better your times. It is a lot harder to hook up with a manual versus an automatic.

Hey Paul, what RPMs are you launching at?
