Hahahaha, Ryan got it. I'm going to finally be painting the 'Chevrolet' labels on my cover red. I'm taping and cutting around each letter so that way I just don;t only get the top part like you see everywhere else but the side walls as well. Patience is a virtue.

I bought all the ZL1 parts, but I couldn't get it into a body shop any time soon to cut the bumper cover to fit the diffuser. I found a new stock one for $60 so I just replaced it for now. Glad I did and didn't use the $300 quad tips on this exhaust cuz it's too quiet. So, probably after C5F3 I will have the time to take it in and get the ZL1 diffuser and Borlas I have put on it.

I was going to do everything myself and just try to cut the bumper cover myself, but I found the rear absorber has to be replaced also and I would have to take the bumper cover off anyway, so I would rather just let the body shop deal with getting everything lined up perfectly when it goes back together.

On a side note I just picked up the camaro from the service center. I had it in for the check engine light, turns out a wire somehow came apart to the fuel vapor canister, aparently it may be covered under the extended warranty, but not under the factory warranty. Bad thing is the extended warranty does not kick in till the factory warranty is up .

Apparently it is an easy fix except the whole problem of getting to it. The guy at Roudolph was great in walking me through it and it turns out they (or myself) would have to drop the complete rearend, cradle, suspension and everything. After talking to the mechanic, it is not a problem that would effect the performance or driveability of the car, it just turns on the annoying check engine light and may effect emmisions.

The upside is this allowed me to come up with two possible game plans , I have not decided which way to go yet, but the possibilities are doing the work myself and replacing the factory gears with 3.91 LPE gears and 1000hp axles (this would give me a reason to drop everything to get at the wiring and sensor). The price of the gears would be about the same as having the dealer just do the work. Second would be to get a tune on the car to tune out that sensor, this would be a lot less expensive, but would void quite a bit more of the warranty and would be something I would have to redo when I get the car to where I want it. What do you all think .

You guys missed a good time at the strip last night. I only made two runs, on the first the track was way too loose. They did a 100' prep and we ran again track was better but I bounced off the rev limiter in first.
I guess taking a year off is really showing, best time was a 11.5.
Next weekend ought to be great, Lyle is giong to bring out his full on funny car.
If the track is good next weekend I might just get into the 10's.
Well if I can remember how to drive.

Awesome, can't wait till next week. I thought about going since we were overthere anyway, but I was so frustrated with the car, I just wanted to get home and figure out how to fix it. I think it's just mad at me for not driving it enough.

Alright guys let's try this agian. On Friday, June 29th we will be having another gathering, thi stime at Hudson's Bar & Grill at 1770 Lee Trevino El Paso, TX. Every last Friday there's a car show per says where folks bring their rides and show em off while the folks at Hudson's grill burgers and hot dogs outside, so this would be a cool event to just cruise to, hang out and grab some grub while we're at it. Then afterwards we will take a 2nd shot at hitting up the tracks in Clint since last week we had to cancel because of the crazy weather that came roaring in that night. Then after the drags, what say we roll down to Dunkin Dounuts for a late night treat because they're open 24hrs., Yum! So let's shoot at a 6:30/7pm meet time, maybe we can even meet at a designated location and have all of the joining Camaro5 family and friends roll in all together before getting to Hudson's. I will get to restaurant an hour early to see about getting a table reserved for us, so by the time everyone arrives we won't have to be waiting anymore than 15min to be seated, and remember, patience is a virtue folks. With the time that it took for us to be seated, order and get our food, it shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours to be done at Hudsons to eat. Again, it costs $20 to run the tracks all night and $5 to watch/spectate. So let's get the list going again on who will be joining that night.

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum. I'm going to order a 2013 2LS from Viva, as soon as my salesman can order it. I'm excited about the car, but a little disappointed in GM, in that I'm going to have to get new wheels from Discount Tire for about $750, since I don't like the steel wheels. I'm also disappointed I can't get Boston Premium Sound on the 2LS model. Lot of good info on this forum. I think we have some camaro junkies on this forum.
