stock catback is 2.5" right?.. which is what i have.

So if i wanted to buy that SLP x pipe kit, i would have to ditch my 3" to 2.5" connecting pipes and replace them with full 3" connecting pipes in place of the cats right?

Yes the stock catback is 2.5".

It looks like there are two versions. If you get this one, you can use the TSP offroad connections.

Do you have an L99? If you're LS3, I'd just use the stock catback and cut it for an axleback.

If you want a 3" catback, then don't worry about the SLP x pipe. Just get yourself a 3" catback with a 2.5" neck down in the front. That will hook directly up to your TSP headers with offroad connections.

Oh awesome. I'm getting pretty close to ordering mine too. I just need to sell a couple things and I'll be ready to drain my mod fund once again! We are buying a car for the oldest to take to college and I found a sweet deal at a local credit union. Now at least I know what I'm up against. I have been hoarding money expecting the worst!

it also says
"NOTES: When upgrading this PowerFlo-X™ Crossover Assembly, SLP Header Package (#30212) is required. Not designed to work with other headers or stock mufflers."

is this just marketing bs?

Yes TSP has the 3-3 midpipes, iirc they also sell them seperately. if you ordered headers by default they come 3-2.5
