I usually try to run 10 or less also - so I may have to look at the Brembos for my next set. I an running the RBF 600 along with brake lines. It usually isn't as hot as it was last time out though. What brake pads are you running?

Just booked a room at the MGM Grand for SEMA. Wednesday and Thursday was $99.00 and Friday was 129.00. Not bad at all using the SEMA early bird special. The rail runner runs directly from the LV convention center to the MGM Grand so those of you considering going might want to look into the MGM.

The Brembo big brake kit comes with their upgraded pads and brake lines and 15 inch rotors. On the rears, I still have the stock brembo calipers and pads, and only upgraded the rotors. I did this in case I want to use smaller wheels for the drag strip. I'm looking forward to finally meeting you at SEMA.

Will do Speed! The R1's look great and ive heard nothing, but good things about them. I considered STILLEN as well, but decided to go with the Brembo Sport Slotted Rotors, brake lines from LPE and im gonna email Ryan about which type of fluid to use. My car will be used mainly for the Drag, but i'd like to hit a good road course sometime. Are there any close to Southern Illinois/ Indiana/ MO that anyone knows about?

Insurance

What insurance company's are you guy's using and are they covering your aftermarket parts?

I just found out today my insurance company "USAA" changed their policy and only cover up to $5000 of aftermarket parts . Hell my new wheels alone were over that!

Anyways i called Grundy and they quoted me $1150 for an entire year (very, very good compared to what i was paying). My car isnt a daily driver, but its not a garage queen either. They have a few stipulations in there that have me nervous and i plan to look around. I'll be calling "StateFarm" here soon to get a quote also.

Have any of you guy's used Grundy before? Do you have any other suggestions that will keep all the money i have in this beast covered?

Any help would be appreciated

Statefarm will only cover a certain amount. I had state farm for the past 7 years and my TA with $10k of aftermarket stuff was only coverd to a certain amount.

Every year I had to have the vehicle inspected to insure the actual value of the vehicle I was putting into my policy.

When I insured my camaro SS they stated if I have any aftermarket stuff done to the car it has to be from the dealer. They have to use GM performance parts then all will be coverd otherwise only a fixed amount will be issued for aftermarket NON-GM parts. My statefarm rep knows me to well that the car will not stay stock.

Thanks for the info,

Grundy may be the only route to go. I'll keep digging into this.......

bws, great looking car. I love the stance! Where'd the engine go?? LOL I bet it feels great to finally be under way. You should check out Haggerty too. Right now I still have state farm but I am thinking of switching to Haggerty and their stated value policy.
