Personal reasons.. I got sick of the Apple hype from everyone I was around when the iPod came out, then the iPhone, then the iPad.. It was "OMG LOLZZZ.. Look how much better than everything else my Apple XXX is.. Your stuff is crap compared to mine..." -- It's honestly worse than listening to a Mustang Owner tell me all the reasons his car is better than mine..

Technology wise, I don't have an issue with them. They're sound pieces of equipment.. I feel they're a little over priced though..

For the record -- I'm not a Windows FanBoi either..

I really did just get tired of hearing about people standing in line for hours for each revision. Bribing their wives to line wait for them. All the digital farting, beer drinking, "look at this", Apple Fan Guy Groups running from desk to desk.. It just got realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly old..

Hell, I own a Droid Phone and even got tired of my cube area droning on and one about this cooked rom, that hacked kernel, blah blah blah.. It's nice and all if it's online and I choose to go there.. But, when it's for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for months.. it just gets really old.

Why you're complaining about Apple, quit driving anything, a corporation made it and stop using heat / air / electricity at all etc etc. Good Lord people kill me sometimes. You do know half the crap in whatever stupid smart phone you use is also in an iPhone? Yeah anyways. Last year I finally bought an iPod. Not because others told me to get one, and not because I love Macs, but because I wanted a decent music device. I tried out various brands before deciding on the iPod. Before, I was using a PSP (Sony's handheld gaming system) but it was too big to carry in pockets all day.

While I like my iPod, I'm not a fan of their computers and the iPad. It's annoying with certain people around me telling me what I should buy, as if I'm clueless... Their products aren't as perfect as Mac guys make them out to be.

That right there is a big part of it for me..... I'm an IT guy.. an actual IT guy.. not someone that got in to it because it was cool or trendy.. I've been one since I was a kid -- so, for me, tech isn't just some little hobby or a career I do.. I'm a true Geek.. I formulate my own opinions on stuff and Apple FanBois are like Windows Babies and Unix Jockeys. They're all irritating as crap to deal with and will push me away from that segment just so I don't have to listen to their "I told you so" garbage.

I am no apple fan myself. I actually think they have a good product, just not the "God Particle" that everyone makes everything out to be. For me and how I work and what I like to do, Windows, Android, and UNIX are better for me. SO IMO a USB jack with Ipod or other device integration is more than enough.

Heres the flaw in your figures. You do realize those are percentages of the total installed base, but yet you're selling it as percentages of Sporty car drivers. The fact is, the iPad having 90something% of the tablet market has nothing to do with the Camaro.

And as for your iOS figures, you are posting the same thing i did, and the car DOES have integration with the iPhone/Ipad through its current USB port and Bluetooth that also allows it to work with other devices.

You aren't going to convince anyone that the development costs to put a dock in the dash for the Blessed iPod/iPad is worth it when its already set up to work with 100% of the market without it. The majority of us would rather see that development money go into something like an integrated Nav Screen, More HP, or Better Gas mileage. Instead of forcing people into buying an Apple Device to use all the features of their car.

I feel the same way, and I have a friend who actually works for Apple who agrees with me! They laugh at these people getting up at 0 dark 30 and waiting for a week to get the newest Phone. They do have a great product, and its really nice that "it just works" and its great for a lot of people. But just because its good doesn't mean its the best and everything else is crap. And not only that you pay a premium for it!

I wasn't referring to Macs and all that, I prefer Microsoft in that sense. But I wouldn't buy a Zune over an iPod. Back on track though, I like Camaros.

Usually when people complain about Apple it's the same reason people complain about wallmart (Sam Walton inc.) or any other large corporate entity, they think corporations are "evil" or "bad". So I had too much coffee and was just being goofy.
