Said it before and will say it again, Mole you are the man.
We REALLY appreciate your input.
Please tell your buds on the line we think you guys are the greatest and Bowling Green has nothing on you folks (although unfortunately I understand they've gone dark for a week or two).
Again, thanks. You're keeping us on the edges of our seats.

80Zedder,

You have somewhat alluded to what you do on the line in another thread (or the area you work anyway).

Like most companies, I am sure that you have some kind of process improvement or suggestion box system that can filter back to HQ. Here's one for you -- make a priced vehicle option to apply an extra coat or 2 of clearcoat. The paint jobs that I have seen so far on the Camaro look outstanding and rival those of the Cadillac and Corvette. It would be nice, however to have enough clearcoat to have it colorsanded to darn near perfection, cut and buffed.

By the way, YOU GUYS AT OSHAWA ROCK. The fact that you would come on this forum to talk about the Camaro with us lets me know that you have at least some passion for our dream cars. There is no greater confidence builder than that.

First, thanks again for all of yours and everyone else's hard work on getting our new Camaros right.

Second, I know you can't offer specific VIN info, but can you elaborate on the shipping status? If this was already covered, sorry, lots to read through.

Some of us that were day one and two builds still don't have invoices, but cars that were built Monday are already getting shipping updates.

Have some of the early cars been held up for some reason? If you can't offer anything, got a number we can call besides our dealers who just say, " I don't know why it's not here or invoiced." And the 1-800 # just calls to get the same thing from the dealer.

There is enough clearcoat for a light colorsand as it is. We had a meeting about more mils "millimeters" of clearcoat to be added. But the cost application did not justify it at this time. Plus, more clear equals more problems for us in the paint shop with respects to defects. Although you who ordered yellow apparently will be getting more paint applied for a unknown reason. Well, we know the reason, the guy is a dick and likes to waste company money on BS.

I'll admit I had my reservations & doubts about the IOM at first, but glad I chose this for my Camaro...let's call it the "KEEP 'EM GUESSING " color!

I haven't heard of any hold ups. That 1800 number is bs. When I had a problem with my truck that a different dealer refused to fix I got the runaround from 1800 as well. I did get my issue solved but going directly to Stew Low "mole will know" but he doesent deal with unbuilt car questions. So..... Hang in there?

I don't think there are any mechanical gauges anymore. Most are by wire. Not like in the past when there was a cable to the tranny for the speedometer.

Yep. In fact, there is no throttle cable either.

Most cars have had electronic speed sending units for 20 years. Only real old cars have cable operated speeometers.

Hey, are you standing next to Rick Hendrick's car in your avatar? BTW, I've seen that face before
