My Maisto IBM diecast Camaro being delivered on this Friday 5/11. "whoop" I'll have to paint Gold and Aqua blue strips on it to match my car .

Just received the latest Maisto 1:18 scale model in metallic blue today - a pretty close match to Imperial Blue Metallic.

For comparison purposes, I have included 2 pictures of the new model and the second 2 are of a model I repainted in IBM a couple months ago...

Did your "shop" paint anything other than the wheels on the model? If not that is a much closer color match than I anticipated. I may have to consider getting one of these after all.

Just the wheels. Taping off the brake rotors was the hardest part! I was surprised at how close the paint color was, too!

Cool, thanks! Now I have a backup plan if I butcher the yellow one I plan to paint myself.

Got my IBM today! Wish it was an RS instead of an SS/RS, but I'm so happy to have the actual color! It's almost a perfect match.

Now I gotta figure out what to do with the old one that was blue, but nowhere near IBM. May see if a friend of mine wants it... if not I'll probably sell it.

Just a note: the 3000toys website says they're already out of the IBM diecast camaros. I hope everyone who wanted one got one.

Wonder what that says about blue camaro owners. Are we just more fanatical than other colors?
