You'll get your vin in a couple of weeks. Congratulations on your order. Where did you order from?

But that's how it should be!

Got 600 miles on mine now.

Shouldn't be any of this "allocation" BS, leaving guys hanging on with their deposits collecting dust. You should be at level 3000 the very day you put in your deposit.

But you should be next in line, the minute your order is transmitted...

None of this crap about waiting for your dealer to get an allocation before the order can be transmitted.

Meaning, if you're the first one to order a Camaro, you're the first one to receive your built Camaro. No more waiting around while people all across the country get their cars before you get yours.

I met a guy at Subway the other day, I came out and he was taking pictures of my car. He said that he put $5,000 down two years ago, and he's still waiting for his Camaro.

I understand, but don't agree. The ability to order became available last year. So, if he put 5k 2yrs ago, he was a speculating fool.
Also, their allocation process made sense to how GM markets the car. Think about it, say Deming New Mexico, population 100k, median income below national averages, how many camaros are going to be bought after a local see's one?
I think GM played it right, and they even told everyone the allocation process was inplace.

Also, why reward a dealer that doesn't move their other products, I mean, there are (were) dealerships selling less than 100 cars a YEAR! That's like 8 1/2 a month. Wow, come on, so they should be rewarded with First come, First served?

Judging from customer photos on these forums... that are PLENTY of buyers who live out in the boonies. I've never seen so many trees and shrubs around houses. I'm jealous of their neighborhoods, but not their locations.

I say First Come, First Served. And if you live in the boonies, you wont be finding any dealers nearby anyway. Forget "Deming" - go to Albuquerque... or to Arizona or Texas.

Deming was a small city example.
Yea, some of the houses out there (some of the mid-west states) are awesome, but WE don't have to worry about snow tires...
Everything has a balance and price, I guess

So, are coming out on Sat to the John Force event?
