Wow, that's not very nice.. The 05-06 is a really good looking car. Not 1 person on this forum would say my car looked like crap if they saw and heard it, and if the did, they are a liar, or a kid without an open mind. However, I drove a 15' 1LE and really liked it. I really liked the Challenger Scat Pack I drove also.

I have to do a couple things to my car before I can sell it, then I'll have a 1LE or ZL1.. That GTO will always have a place in my heart. I've had Iroc's,Trans Am's, Corvettes, but that GTO is special. But, its time to move on..

Kinda like kids. The first one's baby book is all filled out. By the time you get to the 3rd, it was never even opened, lol.

05Goat, still waiting for those pictures of your GTO. What no camera? You don't have a smart phone you can use to take pictures?

The 5th gen did a good job of having a few things in the inside that resembled the original Camaros , like the sport pack gaugs and gauge cluster layout of the speedometer and tachometer... the big AC vents in the 6gen not that great ... looks too similar to all the other new Chevy lineup interior setups that are currently out or soon to be out and of course the
5th gen outside has a lot more throwback elements like the gills and the headlights looking bigger and round. reasonable the original with the bigger Grill. I also really like the front end of the 14 and 15 ..even the 16 to 18 front end . Is mean and sporty .but . Really most will agree on here at the front end that resembles the original first gen the most would be the 10 to 13 front end.with the bigger style round rs headlight set up .. especially if you add the Heritage Grill..
When i said i see a lot more originality in my 6th gen the 5th gen, i am saying in its uniqueness not how similar it is . The first time i seen the round vents was on a Ferrari California , i don't mind them taking from design from Ferrari and it wouldn't be the first time . They like nice in the Blazer also .

The 15 1LE is a car that is really easy to like , i always thought of my 14' 1LE as a pro touring version of the regular SS ,it was night and day from my 10 SS L99 . Depending on what you want from your next car, as far as performance goes you will be going up from your GTO no matter what you go with . If you want more tech ,much better ride and interior then that is where the 6th gen SS Camaro comes in , i would only go with the magnetic ride though because that would get you close to 15 1LE handling wise . I would without a doubt drive a 6th gen before you decide because it has so much more to offer . The Zl1 is a road warrior that the only thing that holds it back is its dated interior ,but that goes for all 5th gens , i think the interior in your GTO is nicer . Challengers would be the way to go if only looks and need to use seats, they nailed the muscle car look .

The 60's Chevelles and several other vintage GM cars had round A/C vents. The round vents have been on GM cars for a long time.

They are indeed, they matched the small factory grill and trunk emblems.

Yes and i like them , nowadays they use a star shape for the airflow adjustment , nice twist on a old design .
