It could have to do with the gearing too, seeing how it gets near SS numbers to 60 with ~100 less hp...

gearing is definitely more aggressive and then the 3.73 arent even offered in Camaro, i wonder whats gonna happen when owners put 4.10's in there GT

im sure there will be 3.73s for the ss aftermarket, and maybe even some 4.10s. gas mileage will be shot.

No doubt that there will be in the aftermarket! I dont know how much the gas mileage will be affected the 3.73 dont affect the Mustangs MPG from the stock 3.31 or 3.55 really

In a quarter mile race, 4.10s probably could get the Mustang GT off the line quicker, and maybe even to 60 mph quicker that the SS. You might even see the Mustang GT ahead at the 1/8th mile, but 4.10s alone won't be enough to keep the Camaro from running the Mustang down on the back half of the track.

I run 4.10s on my Mustang, and I think they were worth about 2 or 3 tenths over my 3.55 gears after I started making passes with the 4.10s.

At least that would be my bet.

yea thats about what I expected. My 2010/11 will have the track pack 3.73 included I might not change them to 4.10's all depends

I can still get about 19 mpg on combined city/highway driving with my 4.10s.

i have 4.10's no change im MPG for me i get 26-27 on the highway the problem with gears is you get pedal happy when you feel the difference hence the drop in MPG unless your going to like 4:30's then you will see a drop on the highway

1. It is the better looking car in my opinion. Both inside and out. Now if it was the '05 model against the camaro it'd be a different story. The interior in the Camaro is way too cheap.

2. The front of the Mustang is way more appealing. The Camaro is lacking something, I think it's that really plastic looking grille. (I remember thinking the same thing about the '05 mustang having a really cheap grille)

3. More opportunities on the Mustang. Roush - need I say more?

4. Interior is like something of a cadillac, lexus or bmw. Its so nice.

5. Ambient lighting is done way more discreetly. It impresses but doesn't look like an alien spaceship.

However, don't let the cheaper price fool you - they aren't much of a difference.

2010 Mustang & 2010 Camaro both are some of the coolest cars. I was the first one to own a 2010 Mustang GT in my state, would love to roll around with a 2010 Camaro sometime. (Saw someone driving one today, though I think it was a v6)
this is of course coming from a person thats a mustang fan. i havn't sat in a 2010 gt but i remember the previous years having stiff leather seats. sitting in the leather seat of a new camaro is remarkable. and i like the dash and radio settings. its something different. and the front end is pretty much the same as on the gt as it was the past few years...maybe slight difference.
