Stereo and bluetooth are 2 different things.

You mean, yes you can play music stored on a flash drive through the vehicle's audio system as long as the music is in MP3 or WMA format?

This was covered extensively in another thread, Numer3 confirmed a lot of these questions. the iPhone can be used and controlled by the head unit and steering wheel controls. also someone said that the iPhone 3.0 update will also add suport for something that is integrated into the Camaro system? not sure what he was talking about, but needless to say the current iPhone version and the next will be supported just fine!

That's a good question since I plan on ordering the 1SS with BA upgrade..

I am guessing that we wont. Thats apart of the convenience package that I believe that we cant order on 1SS? Can someone confirm this?

That's what all the documentation says, can't get steering wheel controls on the 1SS until GM offers the C&C option.

Well, that's fine with me. I don't need to spend $500 to have volume control on the wheel, bluetooth and a USB port.. It is a nice feature though and tempting..

I've been planning to get a 2SS, because I plan for this car to be my ultimate "big boy toy" and I want to load it down with every possible option, but it still really annoys me that the connectivity package isn't being made available on the 1SS, especially since it's being made an option for the 1LS. I've not been one to piss and moan about GM's marketing decisions in regards to this car, but this is the one thing that really aggravates me. I'm not planning to buy for a couple of years anyway, so hopefully this decision will be changed in subsequent model years. I could accept it better if the connectivity package was restricted as standard to 2SS and 2LS models, but the fact that the 1LS model gets it as an option while the V-8 version doesn't is dumb.

There. My rant is over. Carry on.

Is there audio streaming? I know that is becoming more common on some makes and models. Sure would be nice to have it audio stream from my G1 instead of hooking up a cable all the time.

Yes there is audio streaming. The Camaro will support the A2DP and AVRCP profiles as long as you get the connectivity package.

If it bothers you that much, velco your iPhone to the dash. I know it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
