And? The Corvette has looked essentially the same since the 80's

C4

C5

C6

and now the C7 is supposed to look like the mashup of a Corvette, GT-R and 5th Gen Camaro Taillights....

Of course I'm probably bias because I think Corvettes are fugly erectile disfunction mobiles....

you are way off on the price, last viper was round 90k, compared to 55-60k for the ZL1, 1.5 times the price, and depending on how you look at it, it is for twice the car, I am sure the new one will see a price increase, but no 3 times the price of a ZL1...............

IMO the original Viper lived and died with the first generation that did not have opening doors, or a roof. This is another luxury sports coupe with a big motor.
how is it overpriced? The last viper performance as well or better than the ZR1 and was 20k cheaper, the new one will surely gain some price, but at the most it will match the ZR1 with more HP, and a MUCH better interior.

wow.... now I remember why I liked the Viper so much as a kid... It did look leaps and bounds better than the current Vette... In recent years it was a toss up, but again, I have to throw my hat in for Dodge. I don't know how they did it, but that thing looks like an actual viper snake on the outside...

I sure am glad to be alive during these exciting car times. I'd be lucky to own just one of the 30+ models available today with 500+HP from the factory....

But heck, my 426HP out of the factory isn't too shabby either

Not too impressed. Back, rear quarter view, and side look amazing. Front needs some work though...
I want to see some performance numbers.

I agree man. This thing is leaps and bounds over the vette. SRT is its own car company now, they worked hand and hand with Ferrari on the chassis, interior, etc. To top it off this car is 100% made in Detroit. Gotta love that.

Sorry, I think it's hideous. I would much rather drive the previous generation.

I think the name SRT sounds way cooler than Chevrolet or Ford, it would be cool if Ford made SVT a company in its own. How cool would a SVT Cobra be....

Now only Chevy needs a cool name for the performance division, or do they even have a dedicated performance division after the bankruptcy to my knowledge the ZL1 is designed by the same people that did the SS and V6's? Correct me if I'm wrong on that...

I could be wrong on this but I think it shares a Ferrari chassis.

Holden is not a performance division of GM. It is just another GM Company, such as Buick or Chevrolet. Not to be compared with SRT or SVT.
