Yeah man that too high for a 1SS, I bought a 2011 1SS Red with black Racing stripe with 30miles on it and drove it for a couple days while on R&R and now it have 74miles for $28000. I would look for new if you going to pay for those prices.

I just bought a 2010 2SS/RS with 10K miles for $27.5 so as the others have already said, those are priced high.

Man, if your credit isn't great, I'd be shopping around for rates first. Bad credit = high financing rates most of the time. You don't wanna end up paying $55k in the end for your $30k car because you got stuck with 10-15% over 5 or more years.

I screwed myself early in college and have been in your shoes. Opted to buy a $10k used car at like 13%/5yrs, knowing I'd pay it off early (was paid in like 36months) which really boosted my credit score so the next car I bought, I had no issues!

If you can find a low mileage car, and it's a Chevy dealer. Still under warranty and u like it buy it for a good deal. I bought mine over the net, never test drive it. I had it shipped from new York and was VERY satisfied and got it at 2500$ below asking price.

I am 22 and was quoted at 106/mo for the v8. You should keep shopping... Unless you have tickets.

Def look for a better deal, I don't like either of those deals.

25 here as well. Fortunatly I have great credit and got an awesome deal back in 2010. Insurance is only 77/month on:

2010 Camaro
1994 Ford Ranger
2004 Nissan Xterra

If your credit is bad and money is tight, maybe now isn't the time to buy a Camaro. I know that probably really sucks to hear, but times, they be shitty.

OP, look in the Classifieds in this forum!

If I could do it right now, I'd jump on this 2010 SIM 1SS Non-RS for $25k: http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=175675

Imo, this is the best deal on this site for a V8. With your down payment, you'd only owe around $19k. Just suck it up and make an awesome road trip to save a load of money in the long run, PLUS there is lots of room to have fun modding. Just my 2 cents...

Dont buy a Camaro, just found out that their resale is crap and Camaro lovers wont pay you anything more if you mod it. I'm very disappointed to find this out here on Camaro 5. Though my car was not for sale I take pride in my vehicles and the builds I do to them, maybe I held the Camaro to a higher standard than what they really are. I will be putting my Camaro back to stock trim and then unload it and the go fast goodies to the highest buyer. I will then purchase a Z06.

I think that a lot of car's resale values are crap right now.

I'm just disappointed that the cars I want to trade my Camaro for have actually appreciated since last year. Consensus is that most people are holding onto their current vehicles longer because of the recession and the Cash for Clunkers campaign that depleted otherwise used cars. Sucks for us but the dealers are doing what's necessary to to stay afloat.

I just want a beater right now because I've had some trouble finding a steady job since I graduated in '09, even with an electrical/controls engineering degree. All I'm getting are contract positions because mgmt's don't want anymore overhead in their direct books; rather, I'm an expense!

Adding mods to your car doesn't make it more valuable to anyone except you. When you mod, you mod to please you. When you sell, the mods are never counted. Unless you find a sucker.

And as for your resale comment...I really thought your whole post was an attempt at sarcasm. I was wrong.
