My roommate has an Olds Omega with a 454 parked in the garage next to my camaro! love both of them.

Personally I would keep the Olds and just have a cheap DD. thats exactly what my friend does, he's got a Cavalier to get to/from work.

Plus the olds is a LOT more fun to work on, i much prefer wrenching older/carb cars.

Owning 2 Chevelles and a new Camaro, do not sell that Olds. You can buy a used Camaro SS easily for much cheaper in a few years, that Olds would be hard to replace and you will kick yourself if you do

I kept my Olds 88. America's first muscle car made before your time.
Olds took the Chevrolet body and mounted it on a Olds chassis in 1949. OHV V/8 with 4 speed hydromatic trans- Nothing could catch it in its day. Now have my Rocket Olds 88 and my new SS to play with in the summer. KEEP THE OLDS !

This is a tuff one for me, the camaro will see alot more use, and still be fast as hell, but it still ant that oldschool power I love! But then when I look at an SS, and vision what I could do to it... I get all worm inside and think how sweat it would be to have a new school muscle with all the new car comfort, not to mention all the up keep on the olds is crazy! I think I would make the SS my daily driver, put a big chunck of cash down on it, and leave money for headers, cam, and drag wheels for the track.
That's the difference you have too look at. Newer cars can be made just as fast yet still be practical. It really comes down to what you want to do. I like that my car can run well at the track and still go on a long cruise. A friend of mine got rid of his 73 Camaro a few years ago and currently has it replaced by a 10 SS and he would never go back. I think a cyber gray SS with some black bogarts would be bad ass. You could get that old school power feel with a few choice mods.

The olds runs 11.60s and should hit low 11s with some more tunning. I am going to wait another summer and see how I feel then. Maybe I could have both, but I am not sure If the wife will llike the idea LOL! Then again she didnt want me to sell the olds either.

If it's paid for why not just keep it... That way you have your old and new.

That's an awesome sign in your sig. Lots of granola eaters here in the Finger Lakes. This is now hanging on my cubicle wall.

I kept both.... but a tough decision if you had to pick 1. The Olds will not go down in value, the SS is safer, handles better and has AC. (I'm guessing a 11 second Olds doesn't sport AC)

The olds is not versital... it does not get much use and I dont care for driving it on the street much, even though its a street car, it gets very hot inside on worm days and dont bother driving it on the highway for more then 15 mins! That gets pretty crazy at 3000 rpms, lots of heat and very loud!!! That is why I have been thinking about this so much, I need to sell the olds to mod the camaro the way I want it. I have been driving old school muscle for 15 years and I almost feel it is time for somthing like a camaro, this way I get the best of both worlds! But I know I just might hate myself if I sell the cutlass. I really dont have a clue of what to do... I am pretty sure I will wait another summer and see what the used SS's are going for, and take it from there. Thanks for the replies, I think it kept me from doing anything drastic this week!!!! LOL

Keep the Olds, esp if it's a W car. They ain't making any more of those, and the W's are gonna go through the roof.
