Camaro Z/28 Nurburgring time = 7:37.47 !!

I was hoping for a little more than 0.8% quicker than the ZL1 anyway. That's not to say it is not a fantastic time and that shouldn't be lost in the point I'm making - of course it is fantastic, but I dunno, given all the hype I thought low 7.30s for sure. Probably just had too much time to hype it up and expect the unreasonable though

That's pretty fast expectation (aspiration?)! Right up there with: 26. Mercedes SLS AMG GT7:30.00Onboard N/A'12

That's a great time! It's not just the time but how it was done. In a 427 Camaro Z/28 that many said would never be built. I am extremely proud and can't wait to see the video tomorrow since the internet is crap at my work.

I laugh at people who are disappointed in this time with the weather 54 degrees and some rain and the driver who was doing his best not to spin out when it started raining. I believe there is prolly another half a second to a second that can be had more in better conditions what are people exspecting Zr1 like times? under 7.30 mins?? Its a freaking Camaro not a corvette it weights 3800lbs and beats cars that are triple or quadruple its price. I am very happy with the time but unless I happen to win the lotto I will never be able to own one or drive one.

It's unbelievably quick and nobody is questioning that and congratulations need to go to GM All I'm saying is that the ZL1 is still a better achievement for GM in my opinion because that car has all the bells and whistles and STILL turns in a 7.41 time....in fact put the ZL1 on the Z28 wheel/tire combo and it would probably be quicker...

The wipers work at 158mph too! Nice! It seems like they could have geared it a tad higher. Impressive!

And they were roundly condemned for using non-OEM tires. The Trofeos are OEM...

A few things the car is incredible, but that driver is an animal. He barely backed off when the rain started. I bet he could have shaved off 3-5 seconds without the rain.
That car is insane... |

That thing will shave 5 seconds when it gets warmer out. Warmer temps= track stickier. The engine will be down on power, but the air is easier to cut through. I'd like to see a lap with the sun shining and 75 out.
