Use 3/4" hose on everything.
Sounds wierd but works perfectly. You will see what I mean when you install them.

Actually from what I remember it's both 5/8 and 3/4 on both hoses. In other words looking at connection points on the firewall the one that's 5/8 will go to the one that's 3/4 on the waterpump. Same in reverse on the other side.
If you order the hoses listed in the first thread they'll install perfectly (with a little length trimmed off one hose).

I did not use the pre-formed hoses, just standard 3/4" heater hose from Napa. The larger fitting on the water pump is actually bigger than 3/4" thus requiering a slight bulge to fit over. The larger fitting at the fire wall fit the 3/4" hose perfectly. The smaller fitting at the firewall fit just ever so slightly loose with the 3/4" The smaller fitting at the water pump was easy loose. I used worm clamps everywhere. Kinda wierd if you ask me

Yes it is weird and your method of using 3/4" hose will work as well. I've heard of some people doing it with only the 3/4" as well. One side being pretty tight to go on and the other loose but with a tightened down clamp.
The ones I got off Amazon that are listed in the initial post already come with the slight buldge where need though. Makes it easy to deal with.

I was going to use standard 5/8" hose on the firewall side but later decided against it. It was going to take way to much force to get it on there and there was no way it was going to fit over the larger water pump fitting. Again, the pre-formed hose may not be an issue.

Get the hoses off of Amazon and you'll be good. Hardest part is getting the hoses off the firewall because they are stuck on there pretty good and there's not alot of room to get your hand up in there.

I got my hoses from Napa. They were cross referenced from the Autozone part numbers through the Dayco website. In fast, they are Dayco hoses. They are 5/8" hoses with a 3/4" flare on one end, the ends being opposite for each hose. They needed slight trimming to make them the same length just like others stated. They worked out great and fit perfectly.
