Yes, the SS's top speed will be electronically limited. With tuning (to remove the limiter) the SS should top out somewhere over 170mph. Stock (yet tuned to remove the limiter) LS2 GTO's have been known to hit speeds over 170mph. I know my stock 05 M6 GTO could hit 155-160mph like it was nothing. |

You do know that a an LT will go 155mph too right? You'll get there faster than either it or the cobalt, but they'll all go that fast.

Guys don't worry about your top speed, that governor goes away with an ECM/TCM tune.
Also, I'd love to buy a set of 3.45s from anyone upgrading to the 3.70s. |
