I followed the old thread and had the front wheels off, it was pretty easy.

Perfect timing on finding this thread. I am getting my grille painted and should be ready for install by this weekend! Thanks for doing this.
I am also impressed with your ability to work wth one hand while holding a video camera.

Uneven Hood
Ok, I dont know what to do. After installing my grill I still cannot get my hood even with the rest of the front end. I played with the screws discussed above but still cannot get the hood even with the front end. Any suggestions??

I did mine and have a pic of the torque screws
I've attached a picture with the 2 rubber torque screws (in yellow circles):
Hand turn these. Hope this helps! oh and the other circled items were to remove the top plate only. |

I wish I had a solution but we saw no real adjustment... I even mentioned this to the shop who removed mine... wanted to make sure they knew it was perfectly lined up BEFORE they removed it. Hopefully someone will chime in w/ a fix for this... |

Hmm...There are 2 other screws on the top. Not sure if these are the torque screws mentioned above. You can see 2 other screws on the top next to the locking latch. They seem to drop down to a tab on the body. These look adjustable also. My experience was that the 2 rubber stops did keep the hood from dropping flush on my re-install. I did not adjust the other 2...hope the pic helps for future cussing and discussing.

I used a REAAAAAALY long maybe 16" extension, that brought the ratchet out into the wheel well so your not in such a tight area took me about 20 seconds for one top bolt

Good video. In May I diy replaced my front bumper cover. I used a youtube video where they removed the front bumper cover to change the regular headlights to halo RS lights on a synergy 1LT. It helped me tremendiously because there are a lot of fasteners that I wouldn't have figured out are there.
