Numbers do seem low but if motor doesn't have any mechanical problems that intake I am sure is not optimal at all for 427 cubes. Even a ported intake would be worth Probably 15rwhp. Most guys running those big cubes need an aftermarket intake.
My buddy had a mild 408 ls2 and even with a ported ls3 it wasn't enough. He went with one of those high ram types... can't remember which one it was years ago in a 2000s goat and he jumped like 25rwhp. |

Remember end of the day the dyne is a tool, go to the track and get some numbers, your mph will tell you how much power you are making.

When I had my Dyno tune done ,they did the same thing handed me the sheet and just had the rwhp and no tq. I had him go back and in and print out with both.
I really don't get it ,tq is just as important or more than hp! When I'm paying for a Dyno tune I want both . I know of several well known professional racers that will tell you ,never trade peak tq for peak hp. At least for na anyway .So why would they give half a tune sheet is beyond me!

Ya honestly I'm not worried about the HP or torque. I'm worried about power drop off at 5900rpm which is the main issue, should be producing power to around 6500rpm. Spoke with TSP already, salesman is talking to some people and getting back to me.

Was this dyno run in 3rd gear or 4th ?

I’m with WHAMMO, it seems to be pretty choked, with all of the factory top end stuff and even with an F1A94, you could open it up and make it more efficient.
Im not going to bash Abel, but I have nothing nice to say.

If the mph on the graph is accurate, and the motor is falling over at 5800, that’s a 4th gear pull… Stock gears and motor at 6500 rpm or thereabouts is about 110 mph in 3rd… if memory serves…
We did my dyno pulls in third due to 3.07 gears out back, and 1/2 inch taller tires made for some very high mph pulls… especially with 9000 rpm pulls…

Been busy and haven't had time to mess with it, but another issue came about shortly after the dyno tune which is where the car doesn't want to start after its ran for a bit. Not a slow crank issue, kinda like if you have a leaky injector although I don't believe that is the issue.
Curious if the early power drop off and this issue is related. Plan on replacing the crank pos sensor as well as the starter since I'm there since the starter always seemed to crank slow since I got it. As well as add a second ground block to frame and in the trunk. Plan on doing this as well as a leak down and compression test to rule that out also. Issue may be completely unrelated lol. Installing a Fore double in the next couple months as well, may end up getting a new intake and TB to rule that out. Kinda talking to myself here but figured I would update just in case anyone was following the thread. |

Have you confirmed fuel pressure on hot start?
There are a lot of things that can be changed on start up in the tune, but I'm not enough of a tuner to point you to what might need to be changed. |

Hot start issue could be a lot of things.
Make sure your grounds and battery are good first. These cars get old and ground wires need to be added for some reason and any battery weakness makes them do all sorts of weird stuff. My next guess is a cam and valve train issue.
