If you want a strong clean amp for subs don't overlook the PDX1.1000 by Alpine I've had mine pushing 2 10" subs for nearly two years now and it is incredible. They even put the bench test report in the box with it. Mine tested true 1145watts RMS. Not peak power like some overrated amps. At around $600 it's well worth the money. It never gets hot and i've had it cranked on cross country drives. Only problem, I hope GM will give us the option to order high output alternators. 135 amp alt in my Colorado can't supply enough and caps are of minimal help.
