It looks like if you want the heat shields you go with 22829478 but still have to buy them separate. If you do not want them you go with 22829477. Both numbers are for the dual mode exhaust

You mean if you don't heat shields then 22839578 and if you do then 22829477. :o

I fixed it above. But the way I see it on that website is if you don't want heat shields 22829477. both numbers are for the ZL1 rear diffuser

Plus 1

Your part list is for the Z28. This Difusser look much better with shields as the Difusser fits tighter than the ZL1

Maureen was the one that gave me this quote along with the parts needed to convert it to the ZL1 diffuser.

LOL, you guys are killing me.

But, I am sincerely appreciative of the time you took to help

EDIT: I'm not convinced that 22829477 is a ZL1 diffuser. Why would they list a different part # if you are not connecting the shields? The only way that would make sense is if they made NPP ZL1s both with and without heat shields . . .

And now we have clarity! Thanks so much.

If you want the ZL1 diffuser, order: 22829478. Optionally, you can order the shields, 20957052 and 20957053.

Only question would be whether the rivets for the heat shields, 11516807, are anything special or just standard hardware and not worth the time/expense.

What color does this ZL1 diffuser come in? How much was it to paint it if you have done so?

It comes unfinished. The Black Textured finish that's on the other Diffusers. I painted mine along with the Rockers and Splitter. Spent about $150 on supplies. You'd pay about $200 to have it painted.

Thank you
