I am by no means a pro drag racer . But H-E gave me some good advise about suspension alignment and confidence to go make it happen. I don't even want an automatic now.
According to H-E "You drive a stick and ride in an automatic" That's his quote lol

I'm getting ready to get an alignment in a week or so after installing my 9" kit along with new toe rods. Mind giving up the alignment specs or are they secret?

The ZL1 kit you can get for around $3500 sometimes cheaper and sell your 1000hp axles to help offset the cost and you would be around the same as your stock upgrade

Do the zl1 diff. Its proven to be bulletproof. I talked with the head gm engineer at c5 fest and he said they did not break a zl1 diff during testing. I know quite a few guys on here pushing 1000+ rwhp without even a hickup. I just recently bought one for my conversion. Going to install it with my adm billet subframe bushings upper carbon solid mounts and my rear adm 15 inch wheel brake and suspension kit.

See your already wanting to mod the zl1 diff lol....The zl1 isn't the way to go with my money imo...Your still stuck with the factory 2pc shaft and even tho the axles are better than the ss they are far from unbreakable. I like to do things once and be done with it, it's cheaper in the long run.
