Can this be dealer installed on an SS1? I know it's not an option but that's my only gripe with the SS1 is the lack of the 4 guages.

Just to be an a$$, torque is a measure of the force applied at a point acting on a fulcrum. It is measured as ftXlb(sae or imperial) or Nm (newton meters metric). To explain this imagine a sea saw with the fulcrum in the middle, if you were to place 300lbs one foot from the fulcrum you would have 300lbft of torque.

Also to explain what a newton is it relates to gravity, one newton is equal to 9.81 kg because it's a measure of weight as opposed to mass, and the force of g at sea level on earth is 9.81m/s2. Too much physics sorry.

ps also edit: torque is also referred to as twisting force.

Yes in one of the other threads it was mentioned all the cars had the same wiring harness. (could be wrong)

Cool man. I guess it's kinda like installing a stereo or speakers. Nice and easy with the wiring harness.

I might get the gauge pack if the internals can be replaced with something more useful, like BOOST and A/F MIX. That way there's no ugly aftermarket A-pillar pod.

Thank you! I've always known what torque is, but I've never been able to understand why it is measured in the same units as work (ft*lb or lately it's often labeled lb*ft). When work is measured in ft*lb, it describes the force required to move a given amount of mass a given distance.

Now I understand.

Newton was a scholar but he will always be known as the grandfather of physics, or having an apple drop on his head (he actually only witnessed an apple falling but getting hit in the head sounds better). His biggest field of influence was physics or more accurately kinematics. And I could get in a huge debate about what isn't taught in schools ie Atruscans, they would cause you to loose some repsect for Rome.

yes, but he also immensely submerged himself in Alchemy, which was frowned upon by the Royal Society...
not arguing, just stating fact. maybe we can continue this on a whole different thread
