The funny thing about some people saying it looks like a vette, is that the changes I made were minor.
List of things changed: -taller cowl on the hood -cyber grey -IVER style grille -ground fx borrowed and tweeked from the GMPP accessories pics -HRE wheels with chevy centercaps colored black -rear deck spoiler extended just a little -larger brakes -no mailslot scoop on the bumper the only things borrowed from a vette, C6 foglights, chin spoiler (modified near to the GT500s dimensions), and badge styling. The actually body skin shape or dimensions has not been altered. The rendering I made is stuff that could be done without sheet metal mods from the factory. Hell, most of Chevy's branding is from the vette styling (dual taillights and etc). And the Camaro has a lot of that branding in it, so its not a surprise to me that people see a vette in it. What does surprise me, however, is that how it becomes more apparent to some people after those branding cues are focused on by just badge styling, foglight placement, and a chin spoiler. The changes that were made were to the drum beat of the GT500, if that makes any sense. I kept in mind the visual differences between the Mustang GT and GT500. When people saw the differences between the SS and V6 front bumper it was basically the same reaction as the when the 2005 GT and V6 Mustang came out. Now considering that, I wanted to make little changes like the they did with the GT500. In reality, I changed less on the Camaro. The GT500 has different shape headlights and grille shape and size. I kept the headlights the same and grille dimensions the same. I changed the Camaro just enough to show that this is a different Camaro without making changes that would seem to expensive to do from the factory. So i never touched the sheet metal, just like on the GT500. I think that makes the rendering have a more feasible feeling. As for the bird eye view pic. I was playing with that pic, just to see what a LSA would look like thru the hood. I didnt include that feature in the side view version (notice that in the ghosting front view over the side views pic). Honestly I think it would be a nice feature for a limited edition model.

Good Job Jinx! I think that's really cool what you did!
Personally, I'm not feeling it. It doesn't look unique enough to me. I mean I see the borrowed design elements from the ZR1, seeing it's going to have a similar engine and what not. But the logo taken from the ZO6, doesn't look right to me for the Z28. Also the hood window, is another thing that I don't think should be on the Camaro. But again just my opinion. It does look sweet though. Can't argue about that.

Well, extreme styling and alien cues wasnt the plan. Familar and mild styling was the deal.
If I was to go the extreme, it would have hideaways, side exhaust, and functional side vents.

Damn Jinx, those are just amazing renderings. That's the most realistic cyber gray i've seen put on the Camaro so far. Think it would be possible to put up some of the other colors and maybe use either of the optional 21" rims from GMPP to give us an even better idea of what we might be seeing in our driveways?

It's an idea for the Z28 that's for sure. They could do alot of greater things to the Camaro. Tell you what though, the back reverse lights are in the right place and that body kit is sweet. Great Rendering Jinx !
I'm keeping the faith for the return of the Z/28 I'll be happy with the V6 because I don't think I'll ever afford a Z/28 :( but at least let there be some cool Z28's to rule the crowded LA streets of wild horses.
