On the Camaro and Mustang it is not nearly as effective as it is on some of the other cars. Because there is a back seat it sits pretty far back from the windshield so it can't capture the vortex coming off the top of it as effectively as it can on say a Corvette or Boxster where it is right behind your head.

I have a Windrestrictor installed on my 2014 and it looks great. My only complaint is with major sun glare. I have a daily west bound afternoon commute on I-20 in Atlanta. The afternoon sunset will hit my Windrestictor and cause a glare in my mirror that's blinding. As the car moves I can also see the glare bouncing off other cars and even road signs. I've probably had this happen over a couple dozen times just depends on my commute time and the sun's position.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution? I was thinking about trying some window tint. |

This doesn't do it justice but here's a frame from a video I shot trying to capture the sun glare. It can be blinding when the sun is low and you are headed east or west bound.

I just purchased a 2011 Camaro SS ? It has this plexiglass lighted when restrictor in it. The problem is the convertible top keeps hitting it and the convertible top will not go down. How do I adjust it or make it so the convertible top will go down with this in place?

Probably just need to losen the two bolt and push it down, I'm guessing who ever installed it just placed it where it mounts with out making sure it was all the way seated and tightened it down

Nope you don't just some trim pieces it's pretty easy, the bolts that hold it are the bolts that hold your tonneau cover for the top

It looks like the previous owner put his own bolts in to hold in the wind reflector . The car came with no cover . The bolts spin freely. Can anyone post a pic of what the screws are supposed to look like?. Thanks

Please quote me for one with ZL1 on top with a caption below that reads: The only whining allowed is from my LSA, so sit back and shut up.
The caption should be above the rear seats head rest.

Has anyone built this in in the past? Does this help the rear passengers (children) if the windows are up?
