Installed the springs at work today. I like the ride, and the handling, but there's a lot of creaking and popping going on. Springs are lined up right, installed the way they came out. Something just doesn't sound right. Honestly it also sounds like something is loose, and it might be I intend to re-torque everything again tomorrow if I can. It's aligned as close as I could get it to the Street Performance Pfadt specs. I'm hoping the creaking and popping will stop in a week or two, otherwise I might take it to somebody who does a lot of Camaro work to get it looked at. I really like the look and the ride, so I don't want to go back to stock, just hoping it all works out.

Installed mine last month and love the look and feel. Just ordered my Pfadt Sport Sway Bars from Apex and plan to install next week!
Here she is. Mine is in back. Even my buddy is jealous.

Just found the thread about the insulators being installed incorrectly. I'm pretty sure mine looked like the wrong picture, so I'll be checking that out tomorrow. I also plan on checking the sway bar links to make sure they're tightened properly. Hopefully that will solve my problems, I really do love the way it sits and rides.

Update, removing the insulation as described stopped all the popping I was hearing. The only thing left is for me to figure out what it is that clunks every now and again. Not this week though...

I bought some Pfadt springs last March 2011 for my V6 (built in January 2011). Do I have the wrong ones installed now? I told Pfadt back then I had a V6 and they said it would be ok, but now I see these and it makes me wonder . I'm also wondering if this is why my rear tires need to be replaced at 15K miles.

You're rear tire wear is more likely related to your alignment and driving habits than springs. If you haven't had your alignment checked recently I would start there. |

Any more V6 owners installed these? Would love to see more pictures or hear more owner impressions.
I'm really looking for a spring that is designed for the V6 and has about a 1" drop but seems like 1.25 is the norm. I don't want springs made for the SS, b/c a 1.25" drop on the SS is like a 1.5" drop on the V6 since it rides .25 to .5 inch more in height from what I can tell. The other goal would be to find a spring that is the least harsh on the roads. ZL1 ride height is basically ideal for me.
