You said you couldn't be happier? Yes you could! You should have waited to get behind a 2SS and leave even the SRT8 behind!
I test drove a SRT8...and almost bought it! Powerful Hemi! But felt big and heavy especially in cornering. Love the retro-look though. You can't go wrong either way...Challenger or Camaro...both awesome. Congrats!

Looks like he went with the R/T.

Better choice for handling, lighter in the front.

The SRT8 with the 6.1 is the cast iron block.

It sucks what the dealers are doing to this car. We have a Hendrick dealer here and they have a 2 LT/RS that is listed as used. They have a 5 k mark up on it and then they added CGM stripes and did a crappy job of them and added another 550 to the price. Try to order one and they act like they are taking a gold bar out of Ft. Knox.

Go across the street to the Ford dealer and the guy shows you the invoice, quotes you X plan, pulls up all the available incentives and quotes you a price.

So IF I buy locally I can get screwed by the Chevy dealer and pay 5k over MSRP for a 1SS that may or may not come in before the end of the year or I can drive home in a 09 Bullitt for 6.5k under sticker.

Thats 37k vs. 27k. The Camaro is without a doubt the faster car but that 10 grand could sure change that.

do you have an email address for this immoral dealership. It doesent matter if there is a written agreement or not. They added this paint protection crap just to bump up the price it, and pure profit. We should all contact them and fill there in box

There are so many bad jokes I could insert here.

But NYC what do you expect? With all the fat cats leaving it will be a giant jail like that movie soon enough.

Unbelievable - sweet talk up front then backhand you with magical coating fees and a take it or leave it mentality.

I heard on the evening news GM will announce the closing of 480 additional dealerships on Monday. Tear in my beer.

I got upset when they said a new great "smallest GM car ever" factory.

And the new guy the other day said the PUMA was the direction they wanted to go.

Direction to PUMA? Might be fun to get around a campus or the like but on the open road?

With safe cars like Cobalt, Focus, Civic, Tacoma, why need to go smaller?? boggle?

Yes,
Please post the email address. I had many, many emails sent to my dealership from the great Camaro5 members. I do believe that the strong show of support helped the dealership to work with me. Maybe the same collective voice will work for you.

I had to deal with moronic dealers when I bought my Solstice GXP a couple of years ago...I was patient and finally bought at MSRP (which really bothered me, because I've never paid sticker before). So anyway, long story short....I think I read that there will be 60k+ Camaros made this year....if people wouldn't pay the markup price, then eventually the lots will fill up and the dealers will be forced to sell at MSRP. I know this was a pre-order and they didn't treat you fair, but I'd say, just walk away and go find one on a lot in a couple of months.
