Might be a demodded car. So a leak in the headers is possible. What oil you use?

13K total for the car? its a steal, even rebuilt!

Get mudflap ASAP!! large and sticky tires will ruin your paint in less than 5k.. :(

the smell wouldn't be too strong, you can look from above the engine too and look for black soot between the manifold and head on both heads

WHAMMO, thanks brother! I had to jump on it with that price. Definitely thought it was worth it. I was using mobil1 full synthetic. I decided to give the Pennzoil platinum a try. Hopefully its as good as the Mobile. I always liked the look of the mudflaps, gonna hit Amazon in the next couple weeks. Ima be changing out my front brake pads and rotors as they are almost done so it will not be driven until I get those done

805camaro, will look into that tomorrow as that is very possible and easy to do

I appreciate the feedback guys!

So, I did the oil change. It was way over due, but that didnt fix the problem. I couldn't get underneath the car properly to check out the sound, I will need to take it to a place where they have a lift to see if I can pinpoint the problem.

I checked from the top, but no exhaust leaks from the manifolds/heads.

I will update again once I find something, I'm starting to think is just the nature of the beast here

So I finally got to go under the car, bought some jack stands at wally world. No exhaust leaks anywhere. Noise is coming from the bottom, but no knocking. Might just be a lifter or something...

And so while I was at it, I got the mod bug and decided to purchase some TSP headers. 😁

Should I just start a new thread somewhere else for my mods/updates? Or should I stick to this one?

Did you ditch the factory x-pipe? Or just an illusion.

Should be in the red, it probably is if you haven’t removed it, just can’t see it in the pic. Just curious was all.

Car sounds good!
