My 1SS/RS has the connectivity package. I guess that's what you get with the RS package. I don't even use the USB port. I don't think the V8 is too much car...look at some of the mods guys are doing on here, for some of us it's never enough!

I would say go with your driving style. if this is a daily driver get the V6 but if this is just your fun car get the V8. Thats the decision I had to make. Right now I take the train to work and have a second car so I drive less than 600 miles a month. But When I do have to commute eventually Ill be putting atleast 1500 miles on the car in a month and Thats when the v6 will pay for it self easily.
On the other hand you can buy the v8 and simply live with the consequences that it will cost you a LOT more in the long term HOWEVER I can honestly tell you that That extra cost will be totally worth it :-) |

In the past it would have been V8 or noting those v6's sucked but not this one. Only thing i miss that the V6 will never ever give you is that beautiful V8 rumble. My advice get the 2LT/RS or look at used ones they are good buys to be had.

It will be my daily car but I don't drive much because I work from home (although I am sure I will be tempted to drive a bit more with a new car )

We Canadians are geting *ripped off*! Or dollars have been nearly at par for the last 4 years. On occasion the Canadian dollar has been as high as 1.10 US, but is currently at about .95 US. Yet we pay 16K MORE for an SS vs an LS and 10K more vs a fully loaded 2LT. What gives?!?! Man, I'm tellin ya, you guys are *lucky* south of the border. *Everything* is SO CHEAP in the USA. I visited my sister in Boston recently and I couldn't get over how cheap your food, alcohol and tobacco products are. Now I see your cars are also part of the deal. Back on topic, I guess it all depends on what you're looking for in a car. Like BackinBlack said, in any case, it's still a Camaro so you really can't go wrong. I love my V6. Looks gorgeous and has more than enough power for me. It's also a year-round daily driver for me so even if I could have afforded it I would have felt there was something morally wrong about subjecting an SS to the rigours of the Canadian winter. Buy whatever you feel the most confortable with. Personally I think the car you have initially chosen is pretty bitchin'! |

I have not driven the 3.6 D.I DOHC V6, but I would imagine with a manual trans it would be plenty quick and fun. If I had gone with the V6 I would get a manual, and the 20" wheels, and then lower it an inch or so, since its higher then the V8 models. If you don't need the EXTRA power, go with the V6.
