Damn that sucks!

Nutro if you can get online you can see their prices there and show them. That sucks that its a sellout! They sell more of the conventional vr1 stuff from what they told me.

My parts guy had the same 4 cases of mobil one synthetic sitting there forever untouched until I bought it all. But all the cheaper stuff turned over several times.

Not many people use good oil or change it as frequently as they say....at least around here! lol

It probably doesnt move so they are no longer selling it.
I'd rather spend a few bucks more a quart than end up with a bad shortblock at 70k because I was cheap, or lazy! Damn!

Little88 that is an awesome avatar!!!! VR1 is a max protection for adverse(spirited/race driving) conditions. For $3.49 a quart I am going to by all they have left. It'll get used in the 95-100 summer at the track. For my engine it'll be perfect. Thanks for the info

Autozone is a pretty decent place to pick up deals on oil.

Online shows $5.99 so I'm not sure where you guys are seeing $3.29 and they had 3 cases of it!

Are you looking at the synthetic vr1? 10/30 and 20/50 weights.

I use 0W-5 or 0W-10 at the track, just wish it lasted longer

Have you used this oil at the track? What's the performance decrease like, noticable?

I just found some VR1 conventional at Orielleys and bought 8qts, at $5.49ea. I guess I didnt know there was a synthetic VR1 because everything I have read on here said VR1 was a lot cheaper, so I assumed I bought the right stuff. Should I take it back and buy the synthetic, or can I run the conventional this time? I am cammed and going racing this weekend. Thanks!

Sure you can run it. Just dont expect it to have the longevity of synthetic.

Ok, thanks guys! Ive never once used that oil monitor because I refuse to believe it is referring to the actual oil, but instead looking at mileage. Can I get 3k out of conventional or should I run it this weekend and change it? Saw somethings on other sites saying something about 500 miles?? Maybe thats the NSL oil? I only use Wix filters. I dont drive my car hard at all, but this weekend it will be heading down the track a couple times.
