I had a similar thing happen this weekend at the golf course. I parked away from the clubhouse in an end spot and I placed the car so the left side of the car was near the curbing. I had a ton of room to my right. When I got back to the car, some tool in a truck had parked with his wheels on the white line spilling into my spot. It pissed me off. I just went home, but come on folks. It reminds me of my racing days, when we would park as far away as possible form the McDonald's or whatever with the truck and trailer, only to come out and find people had surrounded us. There were times we actually had to wait before we could move. Crazy!

Oh look a Toyota driver, seems about right...
![]() I don't understand how people can park, get out of their car and walk away with it like that. I would be afraid of other people dinging or destroying my car AND the inconvenience I put on the other person. I ONLY park at end spots, as far way as possible and hug the curb as much as possible, unless it is 100% impossible to do so. Don't care if I have to walk 5 miles to the door in the Florida heat. Avoiding grandma(pa) who doesn't look while backing up, MR(S). I have 20 kids and can't control any of them or bother to pay attention to your car, or MR(S). I'm in a hurry so don't have time to worry about others is worth it. BTW this reminds me of in my DD, I went out to lunch parking in my usual spot at the end of the lot. Go in and have a nice lunch. Come out and someone just parks like this, only to say that it's my fault for parking there... wait what? I parked there first! It's my fault YOU can't park and YOU chose to park next to me?

That doesn't look like an accident...because she could have easily pulled on through to the next spot. She walked in the store laughing her ass off knowing you wouldn't be able to get in your car. Envy makes people do crazy (and crappy) things...believe me...I know from experience!

![]() And don't worry...you're not bursting my bubble...I live in a very affluent part of town where everyone drives a nicer car than I do. Maybe that's why I've never come out and found someone parked next to my car in the back of the lot. They must be afraid I'll damage their cars with my piece of crap...lol

The other day, I parked in a parking garage. I found a spot as far away from any other car as possible. Before I got out of my car, another car came in the garage and parked right next to me, going over the line!!! Shocked in disbelief, I started my car and moved to another spot, which also had literally 20 open spots to the left of me.
I got out of my car and started walking to the restaurant I was going to and unbelievably, a huge SUV came in the garage and parked right next to me!! Dumbfounded, I got back in my car and moved it again, another 10 spots from anyone and against another wall. This time I made it to the restaurant. But when I returned a few hours later, there were only 2 cars in that end of the garage. Me and.... you guessed it.... another car, right next to me. It's a miracle that I had no door dings from it. I think for whatever reason, most people find comfort in parking next to someone. I don't think any of these people were being a-holes. Something in their brain just told them to park next to me. |
