i'm trying to think but nothings happening.......okay so i didn't like the huge bowties on the grill and rear so i fixed that.i wish my 11 had the shark fin painted.the mail slot don't bother me it is functional as far as appearance go's i see mad V6 guys here doing all manner of purely appearance stuff that i wouldn't do to a V6 car but hay to each his own just cuz i wouldn't do it don't mean they shouldn't. the rear spoiler is a non issue i'm fine with the understated look.the b pillar is needed for today's safety standards and a true hard top would have wind noise issues among other things i think they got it right with the hidden b pillar.lastly it would have been SWEET if the 6th gen was a new take on the 70-73!!! i would have been all over that.
i love my maro the chassis is still based on the Holden manaro/GTO. the GTO had a better interior but the styling sucked

As far as money goes i belive its pobably cheaper to turbo a 5.3 or 4.8 and adding an ATI 400 for the cost of adding a cam and supporting mods to the L99. The designer behind the idea of AFM/DOD deserves a couple swift kicks to the nads.
As stupid as this might sound, I am glad that blowing my L99 took this decision out of my hands...especially since It cost me a small fortune to swap the LS3 in and I am still not cammed lol.

But I also wish I had a manual. Just too many times that I am not in the gear I want to be in, Tapshift or not.

It should have stayed that way.
My thoughts exactly! And the "A" pillar is a bit thick looking out!

The way the Clutch let out at the top of pedal travel. 1st Mod I made was a Ram Clutch adjuster.

Nothing. Why I ordered sight unseen. Sure the newer models have nifty upgrades and such....but I like the simplicity of the 5th gen. That's how muscle cars are meant to be.

Those thick pillars is what gives these cars the stellar 5 star crash rating.

I know that's why GM did it but not worth it IMO. How many people roll their
cars over? It was a sad day for me when I first saw the looks of the 5th gen
Camaro ruined with that B pillar.

Then, you must have been "sad" for nearly 50 years. The Camaro hasn't been a true hardtop (rear side windows that rolled down) since the last of the 1st gens were made.

I hear ya on the rear windows. It would've been nice if they rolled down. However, the only cars that offer true hardtops these days are the expensive models from Mercedes. I don't know how they get away with it, but they do albeit at a high price.

There are other reasons for the pillar aside from crash-worthiness.
Seat belt mechanisms come to mind. As much as I prefer hardtops to post cars, most modern seat belt systems require the post to operate. My 69 Firebird had a shoulder restraint but it was attached to the top and you had to fold it up when not in use and put it behind these weird wire brackets above the window. It was ugly and a pain in the ass, quite frankly.

The steering wheel on my 2010. The angle of the wheel spokes make the controls a little awkward to use.

This was a successful generation from a sales and design standpoint. For me, I was less of a fan of the rear end of the '10 - '13, and the overall shape of the car when it was camouflaged (sp). Also, the v6 car seemed a tad tall with the very large wheels (21").
