You are getting a Camaro. Even the V6s will be performance oriented. Dropping it too much will make a show car only. All show and no go!!

It made a huge improvement on my '01 SS and "98 Z28 especially. For sure I will do it. Remember all the GMMG cars used Eibachs stock.
i used the eibach sport line, i think, on my trans am. it lowered it about 2.5-3 inches.

the main reason i plan on lowering is because i want to put bigger wheels and tires on and i dont want it to sit too high.

so you are adding to the overall wheel size, and lowering the car at the same time.... check the wheel wells for clearance before you go to far...

At this point I cannot get you an exact price. But it does appear that we will have an introductory price that will be a huge savings, and will last for a week or so. This is, so far, what potentially we will do.

Yea, me too. I'm not getting my car for a while but lowering it is definitely one of the first mods I'll be doing and I wouldn't mind saving a few $$. I've been doing a lot of research since this thread opened and coil overs and an alignment appear to be the way to go. In your opinion DMS is there anything else I should do besides that? I'm not looking for extreme suspension mods because I wont be racing, I jut don't want to have to replace any shocks/struts/bushings, etc. a year after lowering my car.

Thanks!

yeah, but when you lower the car, you are decreasing the space in the wheelwell, add to that the larger wheels, im not saying it wont be possible, just be careful

I wish you could drive Pete's G8. He has the eXtreme XA coil overs with a TrackII and sway bars. His G8 is way beyond fantastic.

I am on 4 different Camaro forums. The reception of this coil over set is off the charts. This is why we will have the ZETA platform units first.

Pete and I have been thinking about the marketing of these units.
We already know, based on Pete;s G8, this will be literally the best coilover on the market, not just by a little, but by leaps and bounds. We do want the world to know. So I think we will have an introductory price on them for a month or so that will be soooooooo good, you would be nuts not to do it. Why would we do this? The only thing that we will require for those first ones are true reviews on the forums. We know what they will be, but want the first purchasers to give an honest, review. With that said, we will dominate the Camaro!!.

Now for those really serious about the Camaro, look at doing the TrackII with the coil overs. You will piss in your pants, literally on how different the system will be.

I can really appreciate Chevrolet wanting to make the Camaro suspension sound different that G8, and G8 GXP. Calling is Zeta II is a good marketing ploy. But there will have to be some trust with me, when I tell you the only differences are coil heights, strut heights, thickness of the front radius rod bush, and heavier duty front knuckles. With that said, everything else is the same. As I have mentioned already, the Camaro is off the charts important to Pedders. I have invested an unbelievable amount of resources in it. But we feel very strongly about it. We will dominate the Camaro market even more than we dominate the GTO market, and we own that market.

So I expect ZETA coil overs may be here in mid to late January, to Feb.

Any Camaro owners in the SF Bay area want to install a TrackII with an eXtreme Xa system, you should contact me. I will cut you a deep deal. We will use your Camaro as our verification Camaro. You literally will have the best handling Camaro on the USA. Or at least the first of the best handling Camaros in the USA

So all of you know, we have at least 6 Camaros that want want to be our certification Camaros for Pedders dealer that will fly in all over the USA to the greater San Antonio, Texas area.

GM Racing has checked us out not only in engineering ways, but also in practical ways, on the race track. So we are SOOOOOOOOO proud to be at this position with the Camaro, and we will always be here, available to all Camaro owners to assist you. I really do not think any other suspension manufacturer out there will be able to say the same.

So we will announce the special introductory pricing. Not sure how many we will have. But we will post them within minutes I get the info on all the Camaro forums.

i would be willing to bring my camaro to cali for you to put them on my car. or to have your guys even come to ohio. i would definately tell you what i think about them honestly.
what kind of lowering numbers are we looking at? 2"? i would probably want to do the whole setup that you guys offer. as long as all the components have been tested together, im in. ill do the coil overs and sway bars an whatever suspension components you offer. i want my car to handle the road as if it were in a race.

I ordered the Pedders coilovers and bushings. Pete told me that the car would drop 1" at the highest setting. I am also getting the ground effects and I am wondering if there will be enough clearance or maybe I should cancel the ground effects other than the rear.

i was going to get the ground effects too and i just ordered the suspension kit. i think im going to keep it stock looking and just lower it and put wheels on. but that kit is sweet looking. pete did tell me that the car does sit higher than he expected (stock), so it might not be too bad being lowered with the ground effects. i like a nice low ride though. my T/A was lowered and i had ground effects on it and it was REALLLLYYY low. scrapped a bit but nothing major.

I would suggest to not think about any major suspension work until you drive the car. The ride might be fairly smooth stock, but some people really do have to deal with rough roads and will not want to suffer any ride worse than stock. Are you keeping stock tire sizes? Body roll should be mild with stock tires and wheels. I believe that tire sizes and compound is important when finding the correct suspension height/body roll resistance/overall stiffness. A car will handle to the best of it's abilitie when the tire capabilites match the suspension capabilities.
