Actually when I was at the bank signing the papers for a refi the chick was asking me about GAP insurance. I said no because I'm not upside down and will pay it off in 2 years. Which she said she was wondering why on my credit report it showed I owed so much more then what the payoff amount was. I think it shows I owe over $10,000 more then what the payoff amount is.

Your credit report is always behind, it depends on how often your creditiors report transactions to the credit reporting companies.. It may take as long a 3 months for it to catch up... if she worked for a bank she should have known that... Maybe I will be the first to say this.. YOUR BANKER IS AN IDIOT..

2 payments down 70 more to go. Couldn't pass up the finance rate, and still need to feed my kids.

After taxes and everything my car was ~$38,000...I put $18,000 down and financed $20,000.

After having the car for about 2 months I got hired at my job (had previously been an intern elsewhere) and paid another $2500....plus I've been making the payments for 14 months so I owe ~$12,000 on it right now.

My interest rate is pretty good at 3.75% for 60 months.
