Only issue I have is the hex screw loosens up over time. But this shifter sets off big time in the car! I just remind myself to tighten screw from time to time. Anyone else have this issue?

Sounds like the person building these really needs to chime in here with help or advice. Most vendors on this site are very solid and great people.

I too love the look and would like one but want it to be flawless from start to finish before I lay down almost 2 bills.

Looks sweet for the ones that have it.

I'm thinking of getting one of these but I drive with my right hand resting on the shifter. How hard do you have to press down to shift? I don't want to accidentally shift it while my arm's just chilling there.

You can adjust it to your liking, but I don't think there is any danger of accidentally shifting it you should be fine.

That chrome one looks like it might get hot in the sun.

You can take care of that--Locktight or finger nail polish......

Someone was asking about IOM interior....simply paint the CAMARO any color you want.....

I installed the Chrome shifter. After a few days I get the same problem with not being able to take key out of ignition. Anyone have any clues for this. I did the install, just as listed above. Thanks for any help.

A couple of things I can think of that may be the problem. I haven't seen one to know but where as it seems most have trouble after tightening the screw it may be a tad to long, this will cause it to rub against the release mechanism not allowing it to return all the way, the other thing that comes to mind is if the base fits on the shifter shaft a little to loosely, when you tighten the screw it pulls the shifter forward possibly causing the release mechanism to bind against the back of the shifter. If anyone has one that is not mounted in the car, put the screw in the hole and take a picture so I can see how far it protrudes into the hole and that may give me an idea.
