I agree with you 90%. Speed traps in residential and school zones serve a purpose...though most of the time when a kid gets greased in a school zone, they stepped in front of a car that wasnt speeding anyways.

School Zones.

i respect them...i don't consider them a speed trap....everyone is crawling.

though this make kids feel they have power over the automobile....in my assessment

they think if they step out in traffic they will be OK.....to me thats a bad habit to template in a young mind......Cars are dangerous look both ways and proceed with caution should be the template.

School Zones teach kids bad habits....that a 4000lb hunk of metal will not hit you if you dart in front of it.....( yeah don't bet your life on it kid)

Sort of like right of way.....you know how many people hit another car because of right of way...when if they drove defensively the accident could be avioded!!

And some are just flat out douchebags...

65 in a 45. Didn't initially know which way it was going to go as he was asking me for my stuff. Handed him license and registration and was flipping through the folder of papers and pulled out one of the expired insurance cards by mistake. I took a look at it as I was handing it to him and said, oops, hold on that's an expired one- I'm sure I have the current one in here too...

O: You know I could write you simply for giving me an expired insurance card...

Knew it was over right then...
