Im still planning on making it, i received an offer on my car a few hours ago so i guess we'll see where that goes, if anywhere. So, as of right now im still in.

I don't know where evreyone is coming from but theWestfield Shopping Mall in North County just off the 15 FWY and Bear Valley Parkway might be a good starting point... you could start down bear valley through Valley Center up to Palomar and so on...? I could map out a few options if you would like. ( used to be quite the hillbilly in and around Ramona and Julian when I was a kid)... several places to stop for Pics and hopefully (if still open) some good places to eat. Happy to help...

Would like to join up but coming from L.A.Did Palomar-Julien in Oct. but been awhile since I have gone through Berego.

OK folks... here goes: Meet at Westfield Shopping Mall, head toward Ramona on Hwy 78, L on Main st toward Julian... One stop @ Dudleys Bakery ( Gotta get more of that jalepano bread), back on road toward Julian, through Town ( Unless someone wants a pie?), through the end of town and down Banner Grade, past Hwy 79 and onto Borrego... (Possible stop), around the town circle and head up Montezuma Grade thru Ranchita, L on Hwy 79, R on Hwy 76 to Lake Henshaw ( stop)... down 76 past the Pala Casino, continue to the 15 FWY and then south to Escondido / Mall ... Finish. About 153 miles, This is an excellent mountain and high desert drive with a early afternoon finish.

Should probably meet and get moving NLT 0800 to ensure back by 1400 with stops.
