When deleting the dod solenoids you swap to the ls2 valley plate which is the same that goes on the ls3s...
Hope this makes sense... I'm not awake yet.

Well, now I am confused. I thought that the DOD solenoids would prevent the LS2/LS3 valley plate from being able to be installed.

Hmmmm........

The cover in the pic is the MagnaCharger supplied cover. The instructions warned to NOT swap the cover out.

I'm just a little confused too.

The L99 cover looks like this and is supposed to stay.

From what I am getting from our engineering/install guys is that the non-DOD valley cover will prevent proper oil flow to the DOD lifters which can lead to bending push rods as a worse case scenario.

Well, metallicide. If those pictures are acurate, they weren't supposed to swap that cover out. That's for the LS3s. I'd go let them know. Unless you are planning on doing the cam and dod delete soon.

Here is a link the the install manual. I've looked at it a bunch of times. According to Magnuson, they weren't supposed to swap that cover. See steps 55 thru 65.

BIG +1.

I have a 'souvenir' push rod here from a local shop that did this same thing (from what it seems like). It is not pretty...

I would get this corrected ASAP.

Uh......... I'd like to say not.

But they have to take the blower off. Gonna have to take the coil packs off and loosen some hoses.

Couple of hours. But if you show them the manual, and have them call Magnuson, I'm sure they won't give you any greif. The pics are all the proof you need.

Look at my cover, then look at yours. There is a functional difference. We both have L99s with VVT and DOD.

Don't drive it hard... Better yet, dont wait a couple weeks to get this done.

It shouldn't be hard to swap to... PQ is right, a couple hours total...

GREAT NUMBERS AND PICS' and please get that squared away! It'd really suck to ruin a great experience like this with that problem :(

The ls3 cover isnt on there, I understand the pics would tell you otherwise, we have done a bunch of these. The tech installed the cover and immediately realised his mistake, the car would not be performing nearly how it does if it was not oiling half the lifters. Simple mistake, unfortunetaly he was taking pics as we do for all of our customers and posted some of the error on our website. No worries, should be deleting the dod here shortly anyhow. You guys are right in advising him to look into it, as potential damage could occur if a car is run in that state. Hopefully we will be becoming a sponsor here if I can find the time and post progress on another 2010 we are building, upwards of 1100hp at the tires through a 4L80.
