I would think the auto would have higher resale because automatics outsell manuals, even amongst muscle cars. If you can't/don't want to drive manual, it's more likely to be a dealbreaker on buying a certain car than vice versa.

But as has been stated, factor that in but don't let it be your main concern. Get what is right for you.

Hmmm........clutch and syncros often are abused by not-so-talented drivers, leading to a lower used car valuation. An automatic can cover up a lot of things.

this may be true for just about all jap,or foreign cars,EXCEPT one,and that one is the honda civic si w/6-speed stick one of the best 'close-ratio" boxes ever built, and this car really does command a premium because it DOES have a stick! just sayin'

whether it sucks or not depends on your point of view!
example:someone who has driven "stick" fora long time will NOT care about driving in heavy traffic ,or not because 'shifting" has become second nature either in traffic,or not!.that said,it will NOT suck for anyone USED to shifting all the time!.it won't matter!..just sayin'

Daily driver- Get the auto. Weekend fun car- Nothings beats a stick.
again! if i may be so bold!..it ain't gonna matter (2 sh**s) to someone with a "stick!".they are USED to driving "stick" ALL the time under any,and all conditions!..just sayin'
