That's common, not just on 5th gen' Camaros. I've seen 4th gen V6 Camaros with Z28 badging or Ford Mustang 6 bangers with 5.0 emblems on the sides of the front fenders.....and the imports, I won't go there .
However, I bought a 1SS/RS Camaro instead of an LS or an LT so I don't have to wish it was a V8 model. However it's the 1 trim level and I added aux gauges and plastic silver painted door/dash inserts from a 2 trim level Camaro.
So.....
I guess I'm an IMPOSTER!

You think that was bad, look at this listing on eBay, way to many things wrong with this "clone" to mention. Let me just one thing 1LT!!!!! That should do it. I was just in Orlando yesterday, I'm glad I didn't see him. I would have let him know what I thought of his car, poor, very poor clone!!! Click the link below.

Just think of it as an idiot sign....no harm done to anyone but themselves and at least they know what model they wish they had.

i kinda want to put RS badges. but meh.

an LS badge would look...weird...
I have a 2L2 and put polished RS wheels on mine... "Rally" yellow, rally sport wheels, yeah I threw a RS badge on the trunk lid, no big deal.

Now heres a good one, and Im gonna find this kid and ask him to send me some pics of his car, he lives in my town....

He has a Black LS, with huuuuuuggeeeee Supercharged emblems on each side of hood, and Z/28 badges all over the car. If he ever sees me parked somewhere he pulls up beside me, I haven't gotten a chance to snap a shot yet.

People have been rebadging their cars for years....no big deal. There were no hits....no runs or errors.

Some of you guys think it was a mortal sin....LOL!

You are right. People have done this for years, however it is a big deal in my book. You re-badge a car and you will pay the consequences with people calling you out and it will be embarrassing. Why would anyone pretend they drive something they don't. Just to clarify, I am not referring to any car that has a spoiler, or gauges added, etc. I'm only talking about badging on the car designating it as say an SS when it is a V6.

i saw a black LT with aftermarket "SS" badges under "camaro" on the fender, as well as Yellow hood spears that also had "SS" on them, but it only had 19s, no brembos, and (the biggest giveaway) a V6 front fascia.
