DO IT! Car looks good with it. More often than not people dont notice it. It protects the car from rock chips! and yes you can wax it, You really want to because it makes the clear bra look better.

Thumbs up

I had my Red Jewel done this past November. Although expensive, I have no regrets. The product not only provides protection for the paint, it also gives me piece of mind. And the Nano-Fusion comes with a life time warranty. Definitely get it, whichever product you like.
Checkout the install videos (awesome car!)

I've had my car for 19 months. I got my clear bra just after getting my car in June 2009.
A clear bra is a well worth it. I only paid around $500.00 or so back in the Spring on 09 to get the entire front end and lower hood done.

Yes, you could get your front end painted every 2 years or so, but in the mean time you'll have lots of ugly chips, marks, etc. The clear bra keeps your front end from getting all covered with chips and marks so it always looks good.

In 19 months of driving (and plenty of highway trips) I have two tiny pin head sized marks in the clear bra. The front end of my car still looks perfect.

On my other cars without a clear bra and with similar mileage driven, they have dozens of marks and some nasty chips. So the clear bra makes a huge difference.

For whatever reason, if I ever remove my clear bra, I'll put another back on. I'm sold on them.

Got my windows tinted 20% and the clear bra done yesterday all for $800,they did behind my wheels and the louvered side panels (gills),behind the mirrors, and they also put some inside the door handles where your fingers hit. I am very happy with the work and the price!!!!

Yes it's all 3M..

OP, I forgot to add, that Ive been hit be a shredded tire on the interstate on a a trip from NC to AL, then on the way back a peice of exhaust pipe. No paint was removed but I did get two small tears in my film. My installer fixed them by cutting it out and now you wont know they're there unless you're right up on it.

Is this stuff like what the factory puts on the ends of the rocker panels. (or a least like what is on my 2011) That stuff seems pretty thick?

I had a clear bra installed on my baby for valentines days. I would love to show pics ,but she might get mad. LOL

Just kidding. I have clear bra and I'm very happy with it. I didn't let them put it on the hood though because I didn't want to see the line. the sides were already all chipped up so I don't have it installed there either. Just on the front end.

So overall everyone is pretty happy with theirs? I've been considering one when I pick up a Camaro in a few years, but I always seem to notice them on cars and the lines bug me, but those were older too. It's caused me to not like them, though. Anyone else like that enjoying theirs on their car?

Where did you get the 1/4 flares? I can't find any that come in Summit White.

I just had my black 2011 2SS/RS done with the 3M clear tape and window tint for $900 after taxes (Canadian dollars). The clear tape covers the entire front from the bottom of the bumper up to a quarter of the way on the hood including fenders and mirrors. To be honest I was a little leery about the 3M tape after reading so many mixed opinions online about clear tape in general (especially on black paint) and also 3M vs VentureShield.

Regardless I am very satisfied with how it turned out. The only spot you can even notice it is the line a quarter of the way up the hood but big deal. My previous car was also black and the amount of rocks that have chipped paint off the front of that car is unreal and that car is only three years old. I think you have to weigh the pros and cons - would you rather have a bunch of dings and chips on the front of your car or a 1mm thick clear plastic film wrapped around the front?

The interesting thing about where I took it was they quoted me nearly 1/2 less than the other place I called and when I picked it up today the guy was telling me they underestimated the work involved on the Camaro and under-quoted me. But by the sounds of it they have only recently started doing this so it is new to me. Didn't exactly give me confidence as I finished paying and ran out to see what the hell they had done to my new car. Either way it all turned out well and I got a bit of a deal I guess.

They do not come in white. Purchase black and paint if you'd like. I have a summit white RS and kept mine back. They blend in with the tires, looks fine to me.
