GM told my dealer they can start placing official orders on the 6th of February - Page 3 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

If the dealer has the orders in we don't have to match them it will take them automatically if that car in line matches up. If it does not it will automatically go to the next one in line the dealer does not have to match them if the orders are in there and have a priority set it will do it automatically.

He's asking what happens if the dealer only has V8 orders and only V6s are available. The answer is the dealer gets none and the next dealer in line in terms of allocation gets the V6s.

Incorrect when it comes up and says I am alotted lets say 2v8's and a v6. The 2v8's would automatically be picked up out of my order bank and then I would build a V6 to my liking.

You didn't get the question.
If the dealer has NO V^ orders then they will either have to "pass" on that allocation or order a V6 which will in return reduce their overall count.

No big deal if they have openings; a very big deal if they pre-sold all allocations with SS's
