I left the pictures full size so you could get a better idea of how they look. I wish we didn't have to have a front plate.

Don't see the point..won't prevent you from getting pulled over for a ticket.

I think the remote control one is the best if you have the dough.

Get pulled over, flip the switch..officer says, why don't have you have your front plates.
"What are you talking about? Are you sure?"

Why don't the douches in the state legislature let you just pay a premium to have no front plate. They could charge $25/yr and I would pay it, just for the peace of mind. They would generate revenue and everyone would be happy. They could make your reg sticker a different color so Buford T. Justice wouldn't have to bother you about it. Guess I should write my Legislator. Aside from that, my argument is, "Why are bikes exonerated from this no front plate required crap?"

I attached mine with $.69 of wire ties. Looks as good as anything else I have seen and no drilling.

CT doesn't enforce the front plate deal too much. They'll use it for "probable cause" to pull you over, but that's about it. I've gone 14 years without a front plate on my pick-up...been pulled over 3-4 times, but never got a ticket.

I also bought this mount for my SS since Texas requires a front plate. I haven't been popped, but my wife got popped for it in her VW Bug... so why take the chance since I'm even more of an LEO magnet than she is.

In any case. The mount works beautifully. No extra holes to be drilled. And the customer service was beyond outstanding.

Im looking for something that is super temporary. In IL there is a front plate law, but no one in the entire state cares about it except one city, berwyn, the worse city on the planet. Ive never had a front plate on any car i own and never had any problems, till i started going to this god forsaken city at least twice a week. Each time its 75 bucks for the ticket, no warnings here.

so anyway, i need something i can put on and take right off. I was thinking of making something my self with magnets or something, velcro, anything i just need to take it off and not have anything visible after.

so far to get around this and stop getting tickets, i went to the DMV and told them i lost one of my plates. Replacements are 6 bucks, and in the mean time they give you a temp plate to put on the back of the car, and with the temp plate on, its not required to have anything on the front. temp plate last i think 2-3 months.
I thought about just going back and getting another replacement plate for 6 bucks but im sure they will start to get suspicious after awhile.

any ideas?
There are 2 existing bolts under the facia that hold it on underneath and there are 2 bolts on the padded clip that hold it to the grill. It takes less than 5 minutes to take it off.

So, tell him which your car is.

I'm in Ohio too. No need to be drilling that bumper!

Drove a Vette for 10 yrs. with no front plate and I will not put one on this
car. I'll pay the fine if hassled. Or even move back To Pa. To close to retirement. I know it's the law, but some states allow you not to mount one if the car was designed without. I will not drill into my facia.

Mine was love at first sight but sadly, another dealership had already mounted the front plate bracket. I tell myself the new Texas plates don't look so bad but deep inside I'm crying.
