I' am trying to convert my '12 LFX auto open diff. to LSD. I am finding the sizes are different so a direct swap is not possible , IE. 195 mm (7.6") for auto vs. 218mm (8.6) for manual. Chevy lists the entire rear end, case and all at $1600.00, but you're not done yet, the axle spline count is different so it will cost you axles as well. I have checked with several after market suppliers and so far none can find an LSD carrier that will fit the 7.6 open diff. Anyone find otherwise?

they dont really make much for that rear end from what i have seen on here. like gretchen said, swap the entire rear. and dont buy it new! they come up for less than half that price.

(didnt they put that irs in the gtos?)

The traction control doesn't help that much if at all it may hinder, as I got stuck in a freak snow storm one time and heading home as it started snowing I got to a slight incline and I lost traction and the traction control was hindering my movement to the point I was got passed my a tractor trailer bob tailing. And you guys who drive tractor trailers know how much they suck empty or bobtailing
