For the brake dust you should try the hawk ceramic brake pads they have very low dust and there's a few options for no drill front plates out now.

Thanks! Yes, I'll definitely be going to different brake pads in the future. I've used ceramic on other cars and found them preferable.

I did get a no drill front plate holder. I guess my commentary is that GM should consider providing one. I guess no matter what they do a lot of people are going to mod their cars. But for the average schmo like me, for some of these penty anty things there are better solutions and it would be nice if GM "just did it". Could be I am expecting too much lol.
