I'm learning as much as I can about the LS series engines before I do this. Right now I'm pretty dumb about it. Post your build in this section! That's my plan once it gets rolling.

I know, right, our horsepower to weight is pathetic.

Most of the people that buy corvettes buy it for the image/status. I know, its sad but true. I know a few people that only want convertable vettes with automatic transmissions to slowly cruise in. Nothing wrong with that, just saying, so many vette drivers are old farts just looking for the image and to feel young again.

Okay, please excuse this rant. Why the hell would you buy a lightweight 400+ hp car and not even use 100 of those ponies ?? Why would you buy such as fast car just to hold up traffic and drive like a grandma ?? Why can't you drive like a normal person ?? .....Excuse me, but why do people buy such high horsepower fast cars yet can't even drive normally ?....Riding their tails or not.... all the drivers I have been seeing drive much slower than normal traffic.
Because they can? I mean....what'll happen every time you try to race one (which we don't condone)

Being the best has its privileges...

(and most C6 Corvettes are capable of ~30mpg on pure highway...being slippery as a dart and packing that much torque also has its privileges...hehehe)

C'mon you are driving slower than the grandma in her Buick in the right lane, she's 6 car lengths ahead of you and still hasn't hit the speed limit. Excuse me, but why do people buy such high horsepower fast cars yet can't even drive normally ? I mean they aren't even that good looking, a 5th gen Camaro looks 100 times as good as even the new C6 Corvettes(which have been around since what ? 2003 ?)..... so going slow so people can stop and stare just makes no sense. I am guessing these are the people that brag about getting 20-25 mpg+ on their corvettes.... but what's the point of driving dangerously slow just to get good gas mileage in a V8-powered pure bred sports car ? Riding their tails or not.... all the drivers I have been seeing drive much slower than normal traffic.
So are you the guy with the G35 who this it is the elixir to the automotive world. Part about having a cool looking and fast car in my opinion is not having to drive it fast because it isn't a poser. Let me guess your the guy who challenges every single person in a Camaro, Corvette, Mustang and Challenger to informal highway on-ramp races just to make yourself feel better about your car. What is the point your trying to make here? Seriously your going to rip on someone for not treating their Corvette like a track toy when you drive "entry level" luxury?

it takes more driving skill to drive a Vette slow than to drive one fast

Some of us just LOOK good going slow so more people can see it.

And, you can go fast sitting still. Like my ride at 150mph in one spot.
At the 1min mark

Why would I want to race a car that's faster than me ? That's pointless and a waste of gas.... All I am saying is I think it's ridiculous how slow some people drive, I strongly dislike very slow drivers in general, no matter what theyr'e driving(yeah braking going onto highway, going 35 mph in a 50, braking for a stoplight a mile before your'e there, yeah you know).... just for that type of driver to be in a car that contradicts that style of driving is ridiculous IMO... Not saying they should be flooring it everywhere, but also not saying they should drive slower than everyone else purposely.... just saying go with the flow of traffic. Message intended for all the slow drivers that we encounter now and then.... those who drive dangerously slow(like on highways) especially ! On the rare occasions I might race, the other driver would be the one antagonizing, and even then I still might not go for the bait, if you get what I'm saying.... and then the only cars that want to race me are like Civic Si's or Mustang V6's(pre-2010), I need to only do half throttle to leave them behind, that's not really racing, that's accelerating quicker than normal. I can't recall a time.... Oh yeah my friend has a 600-hp blacked-out modded CTS-V, I just wanted to see how fast it was. I actually am in love with those cars, shh...

Sidenote: If your car is just downright slow, and you have to floor it to try to keep up with traffic, and you still can't.... then I don't really care that much. Not many cars on the road like that nowadays, I saw this Datsun B210, it amazed me how slow cars used to be. That did what ? 20 seconds to 60 mph ?

I don't know about every 'vette driver, but I know of one in particular that drives slow because of all the speeding tickets he received when he first bought the 'vette. He says that he has to wait until the points start to disappear before he can risk it again. At that point, it's time to sell and wait for a C7 as far as I'm concerned.

Um then why specify the corvette owners in your original posts if it's all slow drivers that bother you. Repeat go to your Infinity forum...if one exists and whine there.

Dude, your showing us all your true Mullet! I am 45 and have a 2009 C6 LS3 vert, z51, M6, Npp Exhaust. The "image" a Vette stand for to most, is a long history of a true American sports car. Status = Haters, most people that use words like "image & status" when describing American built cars are lacking in those two categories! Just remember, an "old fart" in a Corvette can dust your AZZ just like that.......and look real good doing it!!!
