LoL, I hope you saw my apology post in this thread Scott. No one at the show explained that they were Pre-Pro. Would have been nice get closer, but no biggie. Just builds my anticipation to get mine, which even though I pre-ordered I probably won't see for a while because the dealership I brought my business back to only had a one car allotment ><.

BTW, I am going to PM you all that information and I must say, while I do fear the Fbodfather, I fear him a whole lot less then the guys in the suburbans will fear the FBI police with the assault rifles guarding the FBI center where I work... Just kidding!

I would just like to know if there is a show within reasonable driving distance to me that I can go to and actually see, smell, touch, listen to, and yes, taste the new Camaro.

That guy was simply doing his job by not permitting you to sit in it. There are very few show cars in existence (I want to say three?) that have finished interiors. Those that don't either aren't show quality -- or have their textured surfaces sprayed on. It'd rub off in no time...and then you get people commenting about really poor quality.

Again -- that sucks you couldn't get in...but it's not the spokesperson's fault. The car just isn't "sit-in-able".

Does anyone know if there will be a car at the Dallas Auto Show that we can sit in? If not, no problem

or better yet stop by my dealership Sunday July 5th for the ALL Chevy cruise in car show, free food, DJ and prizes. We have had 60 plus cars the last few years! hope to see all of you there.

Have u forgot we r the customers? I will gladly pm u me personal info, but I will not post it on the net for all to see due to security issues. I have GM running through my veins, but I will also not make an uninformed decision. I.E. I want to sit in the car before I buy one. Did every good camaro really need to be in Chicago? Either way it seems as though u have lost all your customer skills today, maybe tomorrow will be a better day to discuss.

By the way, I'm the resident political scientist, so I would start lobbying you like I lobby Congress on policy, and you simply don't want that many calls from me alone.

No, being a recent college grad does not entitle u to be a resident on anything, especially a polly sci grad.

I doubt it would be a better day to discuss anything with you, you obviously have not distilled the information presented to you as to why people are not being allowed in many of the show cars. I went to a music gear show and Yamaha had a prototype synthesizer there that you could only look at and not touch or play. I own several Yamaha music synthesizers and dozens of other pieces of Yamaha music gear, I was not upset that I could not touch or play the prototype because I understood the reasons behind it, loyal Yamaha customer or not. You seem to somehow think that because you are a "GM customer" that you are entitled to special treatment or privileges, sorry, it just does not work that way. I also see that english language and spelling must not be required subjects in today's college courses.

No - I have never forgotten who our customers are -- believe me -- several people on this site will tell you that I've made this car my life -- and I spend most of my free time with enthusiasts.......

What I DO take exception to is the 'epic failure' part of your post ..........

If you go thru the many threads on this site, you'd know WHY the cars at some shows are not open to the public...........

I will not risk allowing people to sit in cars where the finishes are not complete......because it will only reflect badly on the product...that's a risk none of us want to take.

We have shared unprecedented information on the new Camaro -- NO OTHER product has had this much info. put forth before the car goes into regular production --

I'm sorry you were upset that the cars were not open --

Come to the Cleveland show - we'll have a Camaro open to the public.

And by the way - someone wanted to know why "all the Camaros" were in Chicago -- there were only two that were open to the public -- also important to understand that the Chicago show gets an unprecedented number of attendees............

Yeah last year we got a model of the concept and this year we got the silver indy test car that we couldn't get close to let alone sit in. my only consolation is that i will get to sit in the first cars to show up at my work.
