Just when it seemed like they were doing everything right, they screwed up, their reasons for the intial delay was bullshit, obviously they are not putting ABL in, and just think about this, we ordered the 2LT, imagine come mid april when they begin to build v6s they say that there is a constraint on 2LT, i think i would bomb GM

I don't get it. People are upset that they won't get their car by such and such date even though they pre-ordered a car in October knowing FULL WELL the car wasn't going to begin production until AT LEAST middle of February. What did y'all expect was going to happen? Did you really think the release of a BRAND NEW vehicle was going to move like clockwork, the production line was going to start up February 16th at FULL production and EVERY sold order would be fulfilled before Spring Break?

The real problem is that people seem to have some unrealistic expectations and are getting their panties twisted when their dream world reality comes crashing down.

Have some patience, you WILL get your car.

I felt the same way when I heard but then I remembered waiting for my first Sky. Every minute for the last couple months were like, come on now you have been building them for months get going on our cars.
But if you will just calm down and wait. when you get your car and drive off the lot, the grin you will have on your face will not leave for months. You will think back and wonder why you made such a fuss, it really was worth the wait.....

The Camaro closer now than it has been, just a few more months not years...
it's been 7 years since the last Camaro..... we have waited this long... Don't give up now.

I placed my order on october 13th, with a deposit, and was FIRST, so i understand that there was a delay with production on a new car. I expect to know WHEN i should get my car, and not the constant BS and never any straight answers. If they weren't building dealer cars, there wouldnt be problem. They need to change their priorities and take care of their customers.

We've been told over and OVER again that they were taking every precautionary measure so the car would be perfect and they were trying to avoid constraints. Well this is pretty much a punch in the face, for everyone that ordered first and expected thier car in the first couple months of production... Not 3 months later. I know you people that ordered your V8's dont give a shit because its not you. But i remember a couple weeks ago when you all thought that the V8's were gonna be constrained, and all hell broke loose, so don't act like its any different.

It's just a fact of life that if anything can go wrong, you should go ahead and expect it. If you expected this NEW CAR roll-out to be flawless, you set your expectations too high.

Honestly? I expected GM to build *sold* cars before anything for the dealers to stick in a showroom.

Hey, I didn't say I agreed whole-heartedly with this practice. But I do believe they're trying their hardest to get you a car that you can love and enjoy for many many years to come.

I also believe they're trying as hard as possible to make sure that the sales of this car are not JUST limited to all of us enthusiasts who pre-ordered.

Actually I thought all sold orders would be constrained and that both Oshawa lines would be running the "demo" V6's first. Was I happy as a pig in shit that they're making the sold V8's while running the demo V6's ? Hell yes; but I would have understood the former happening.

Nothing went wrong, they just decided to build showroom cars first, thats whats wrong. Did anyone expect that in October?
The reason we are on edge is because the reason for the delay is what we find to be stupid.
If they build all these showroom cars to get more sold orders, think about how many sold orders they have to build, the delayed v6, as well as all the 8 and new orders. Why do that when you can build all the sold orders, and then have a showroom car later to get more sales. Would you order a car in May if you knew there wetre still a whole bumch of orders in front of you.

Resist the anticipation, Pink, you're turning a deep shade of Red.
